I'm Getting the BIG Cricut!

I have a friend who is buying my little bug, sold my old digital camera on E-bay (through the same friend) cashing in my change bucket and was only $43.00 short.......so I went ahead and just ordered it :woohoo:

I am so excited :cloud9:

, I will get to make the Princesses and be able to do the faces :yay:

Just had to share my "bug" joy :love:

congrats!!! I'm getting one too. DH has maxed out our Social Security for the year, we always do. So we get just enough extra in this paycheck for a Big Bug!!!! :banana:

And the rumor mill is going around on the Cricut boards that the princess carts should start showing up in some of the ACmoore's in about 2 weeks.

Congrats ladies! I forsee a big bug somewhere in my future, but for right now I'll hold off. I don't have a place to put it, first of all. I'd have to rearrange my whole scrap room and that's a headache enough to keep me away from the ACM sale!

Yay for you too! you'll love the Princess carts, I'm itching to make the big one though.

NEE, Find Room! Since I had to move my scrap area out of DH work office into the spare room my space was cut in half. So I am using a dresser for a bunch of my stuff and my bug fits in one of the drawers with all my carts & mats.

I still don't know what to do. I finally got to see what the bug can do at my lss and I was real impressed! But not sure if I should get the little one - or will I regret not getting the bigger one? I will certainly use either one for my projects, and I think dd8 will also use it.

Of course it would help if I actually did some scrapbooking... :rolleyes1

I was okay with the little bug until my princess carts came, trying to do anything with the whole body princess was too hard, the faces were just too tiny, so I HAD to upgrade to the big bug to do the princesses justice.

My bug was shipped yesterday :cool1:

We had a great day shopping, DH got a new toy and told me to get whatever so I think I am going to get a circut and some shape cartridges. You had the little one and say that it is too small for the princess faces so if i am getting it to do Mickey and friends and princesses, I should get the big one not the little one? Also I am guessing this is the best price and value out there for the big bug.

look at what you want the machine to do. You can cut the same size stuff on the big one as you can on the little but not vice versa. However the little one is more portable at this point. I personally don't find it difficult to haul the big one around but that's just me. Also a lot of us bought the little one not knowing the big one was coming out or the cost was to much. I think a few people would have waited for the big one and not gotten the little one.

so far the current $399 price tag is pretty good at ACMoore because you are getting 4 carts which is a retail cost of $320 alone.

Anywho, food for thought.

MHO, get the big one, I only got the little one 3 months ago, you will have more flexibility with the smaller details.

Check around in lss and on-line fine a price your comfortable with.

Well, I went and bought the big one today! It is my birthday and dh told me to get whatever I wanted. :cool1:

So now I have the user manual to read through and then when I get brave enough I will start to play!

It's 379$ with 4 carts, & inks at our ACMoore this weekend - Yesterday a friend brought her small one over and I got to use it for the first time. LOVED IT! Then, I dithered all day - get one? Big? small? I have the same space issue - no room at all . . . but I'm thinking I'll get the big one - then we'll have one of each between us. . .
