Sorry, I'm just sitting here eating my humble pie. I took all your advice and talked to the owner. I was able to get a refund and I am going to be patient and wait until the right time/dog/breeder. Thanks everyone for your support.

If I'm not mistaken, you're having a health scare right now too, right? Maybe you can take care of yourself and let things calm down a little. Nothing wrong with taking it slow and waiting for the right situation. I hope that things work out well for you and your family!

Yes, you are correct. I go to the Dr. Tuesday to see what it is....I didn't know about the health thing though until after the puppy...otherwise I wouldn't have even been thinking about getting a puppy.

Yeah, when I read about the health thing I knew the puppy was already in the works--not good timing. Bummer, but the odds are that everything will work out fine. Hopefully you'll get good news on Tuesday and you won't need more testing, but if you do, then you will deal with that. And you will have everyone here pulling for you! Or bugging you, depending on how you want to look at it.

Just found your other posts about the health issues.

It takes a strong person to go with her head rather than her heart, which is what you did with the puppy.

That same strength will carry you through to your Dr. appt. BTW - I had pre-cancerous cells on my pap - had a painless cryo done (took all of 15 minutes in the dr's office), and haven't had an abnormal pap since. The chances that it is something serious is minimal. Good luck Tuesday and :hugs:

MommyPoppins, I hope things go well with the DR. Last year, my gyn sent me to get an ultrasound of an overy because it "was heavy" and I was basket case until the next day...turned out to be nothing.

Nana Annie, I have enjoyed reading your posts, very enlightening. I've been wanting a cocker spaniel lately (still haven't convinced hubby) and decided to not look at a certain breeder's website. She had too many other breeds available. It's hard, because the other two breeders I'm looking are charging waaaay more for their pups. But it looks like it would be worth it in the long run. It's going to make it even harder to convince hubby though.

If I PM'd you their websites, would you tell me what you think???
