I'm Freezing......

Brr, its cold here tonight! I refuse to turn the heat on....its just way to early to pay for heat! It's still in the low 50's outside, but rainy and damp....

DH is out of town too....so no one to stick my cold feet on in bed!

I know what you mean, it is 48* right now and it rained earlier so it feels a lot colder. I did turn on the heat though since we live in military housing and don't have to pay for it (thank god). Both my girls are sick since the weather has been in the 70s one minute and 50s the next!!

I wish it would head down this way, it's still 77 degrees and it's 9:30pm it was 88 today and still humid..........oh how I miss the change of seasons.

remyandhollysmommy - that is the one thing I miss about base housing....not working about the utilities! If we were still on base, I would have the heat on and my toes against the radiator!

this morning when I took the dog out for her morning potty.....it was 39 and I think that was an eye opener........like OH GOOD GRIEF..it could snow.....opened the blinds up and let the sun warm up the house cause it is to early for heat....

Went out for ice cream tonight with no shoes on...big mistake....guess I'm still hanging on to that illusion of Indian summer...

Yeah, it gets down to the -40s (with wind chill) and I am so glad we don't have to foot the heating bill for that!! My best friend moved out of housing (because she is DUMB) and her bill was almost 1000.00 last Febuary!! We moved here from FL so 40 is cold enough to me without the - in front of it!!

It is chilly here. But I kind of like it.

What I do not like is that when I enter the building my job is in, it is like stepping into the Arctic tundra. It is always about 45 degrees in that building and no matter how many times employees complain, they don't do anything about it.

Next week, they are having "fun" week at work. Part of "fun" week is a contest amongst all the employees to decorate their offices and cubicles with a tropical Hawaiian theme. Kind of hard to feel tropical when you're shivering...

Texas is definitely not cold right now. Anxiously awaiting the possibility of a cold front this weekend. Which means the high temp for the day would be upper 70's or lower 80's. In Texas, you take what you can get. At least temps are not still in the 100's.

Not sure how cold it is here, it is ALWAYS hot in this house! Even in the dead of winter, it is HOT in here with no heat!!!! I like the cold and would gladly trade!

I bought a new coat last winter, and it never got cold enough for me to wear it. Maybe I should make plans to visit up north somewhere.

(after the tornadoes & floods from leftover Jeanne),
I absolutely LOVE a damp, chilly & yes, GLOOMY Autumn day...

I hate these threads! I LOVE cold weather and it's like pouring alcohol on a cut to read how cool your weather is. Well, I did the next best thing.....burned a Yankee Candle in the pumpkin pie scent (makes me feel like Fall is in the air) and turned air down till it reached 62 degrees. Also baked some gingerbread for the nice aroma . It always makes me think of fall and happy times of childhood. See, sometimes we have to make our own happiness. Oh, tomorrow is supposed to be 90 humid degrees here!
