We're booked at ASMu from 2/6-2/18 and I'm starting to really panic! Most of the recent threads about the resort, on a few boards, have been pretty bad.

I've stayed at ASSp and ASMo, and liked them just fine. All we really need is a place to shower and sleep, but I don't want to shower and sleep in a dirty, run-down room.

Should I try to change to one of the other AS's? My kids liked ASMo last trip, but there's probably not much chance of getting a room there on this short of notice and I'm not crazy about the theming of ASSp.

What should I do? Any recent experiences that were better than those posted? I'm not asking for a lot, just clean and comfy!

TIA

We stayed at ASMu in August. We were in the Calypso building and were very pleased with our room. I would not hesitate to stay there again. We were also pleased with the food court and transportation. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived at 1:30.

I stayed at the ASMu last January and early Feb. It was a very clean room. I was quite pleased.

We LOVE the AS resorts!
The only complaint I have is the rooms by the pools. Boy, can they be noisy! And those squeals and screams go right through the walls...

We were there in the beginning of December (Jazz) and were very happy. The room was very clean, it was ready when we arrived at 1:00, and we didn't notice that it was any noisier than any other place we've ever stayed.

I would go back there with no hesitation.

We have stayed at AsSp and AsMu, and I preferred Mu. Quieter and just not as um...wild???

Stop worrying. We tend to only hear the bad things about resorts and occassionally the good stuff. We have stayed at the Music more than both the Sports and Movies combined. We have never had a problem. We do find it very quiet compared to the Movies, and by being in the middle you have to the option to walk over to either of the other resorts. We find the food choices at the Movies much better than the Sports and Music. We also find the CMs at the Sports and Music much more seasoned and relaxed.

Alright, I'm starting to calm down! Thanks for the replies!

This will be the first time that DH goes with me and the kids...I want him to see the magic that we see every time. I take his opinion of WDW very personal and I am trying to make sure to incorporate some of his favorite things...he loves all kinds of music so I chose ASMu (the only AS that the kids and I haven't stayed at!)!

Thanks again!

Just one more opinion...have stayed at ASMu 3 times in past trips and NEVER had a bad room!!! Always clean and I think the quieter of the 3 All Stars.

Have a great trip!!! :Pinkbounc

I only stayed at AS Sports, but when I walked through Music, I liked the themeing even better. I think you should relax and trust Disney to do its usual great job with the rooms. If you have problems when you arrive, point it out and it is taen care of in no time - that's my experience anyway.

Relax, have a great time!

My favorite trip so far has been when we were at ASMo.
But we stayed at ASMu in October (three nights/Columbus Day weekend).
If I wasn't happy about it then, I wouldn't be returning later this week. :)

Hi. we have stayed at the Music 5 times. We really like it. It has always been clean. All the people at the front desk have been very helpful. We love the food court. great for kids. We have gone over to Movies looks cute. We couldnt get Movies the last 2 trips with a discount. We will prob. be going again near the end of August, will stay at Music. unless we can luck out with the Movies.

I was at the ASSp over Columbus Day and Veteran's Day weekends and were in the same section (hoops) both times. The first time I had a little trouble sleeping. The pillows were flat and it was a little noisy with people walking by the room (that will happen in a full resort) and the toilets. My second trip I brought my humidifier for background noise (or any "white noise" type of machine will work) and brought my own pillow- what a DIFFERENCE!!!!!! We really enjoyed ourselves at all three stays at AS (ASMo in Jan 2002). I don't think your DH will be dissapointed. Were you able to get a discount?

We just spent 13 nights at Music in October and absolutely loved it. We've stayed there before and it is our favourite of the 3. We had a first floor room in Jazz and it was perfect (very clean, not run-down at all). If your room seems really awful, call the front desk and ask to be moved to a different room. You're going prior to Presidents Week so it shouldn't be busy enough that they cannot accommodate, even if there are a bunch of cheerleaders there then (LOL). The theming is fabulous and your dh will love it.:)

I stayed at All Star Music yesterday. It was my first time at a value resort after always staying at moderates.

Our room was very clean and nice. I wouldn't have a problem staying there again.

We checked in at 7:30 AM and our room was ready. Not a lot of people. I was impressed with the resort.

Thank you all so much! I feel better and can't wait to see the giant jukebox!

29 days and counting!

I was at ASMu at the beginning of December. Heck it was cleaner than the last time I stayed at CRB. The only negative comment that I have is that you can hear the other rooms' toilets flushing.

I remember those toilets from my other stays at AS's and right now, with snow and 36* in Ohio, I can't wait to hear them again, lol!

We are going to be there Feb. 8-12! Will have to say hi!

We will be the ones with 4 little boys. lol

At ASMo we were on the third (top) floor and it was very quiet.
AT ASMu (during Columbus Day weekend) we were on the second floor and it was more noisey and hotel like in that aspect. But considering we were in the mid floor, in the *preferred* building during a very busy weekend, and right off the pool area, I thought it was pretty good
