Hi everybody,
Yes I am finally back on british soil and staying here till august now, thank goodness. My grandfather is on the road to recovery and should be coming back to the uk this week by air ambulance provided they can locate an intensive care bed in London, he is awake for periods of time and is perfectly sound of mind, but extremely frustrated as he can't speak yet, and is desperate to tell us something, i'm sure all will become clear soon. Thanks for messages, will get back to you soon, and I will try and dis the next couple of days to catch up on all the goss, I've missed you this week.
I'm off to bed, have a school run to do in about 6 hours:sad2: but just wanted to check in:grouphug:

 It's great to have you home Claire, I'm so pleased that your grandfather is on the road to recovery and I hope he is back soon too

Mandy

Welcome back, Claire. Its good to hear your grandfather is on the road to recovery:hug:

Hi Claire,

Welcome back, glad your grandad's on the mend

Welcome Home - glad your GF is doing okay :)

Good to hear that he's on the mend, but it must be so frustrating not to be able to speak. Is that normal after a heart attack? My Dad had several strokes, the final few which prevented him from communicating at all - it's cruel and heartbreaking.

Anyway, great to have you back. :goodvibes

Hi deb,
No thats not normal, its just that he was on a ventilator in suppressed coma, and now has had a tracheotomy (excuse spelling) so his throat is incredibly sore, with a wound, think it could be another week and then we should get some whispering, ;)

so glad to hear from you, especially your good news

Susan
