I'm considering cancelling (well rescheduling)

So we bought Canadian tickets this year direct with Disney. If I understand right if I decide to cancel my room only and tickets I get the room back to my payment (Disney gift cards) but the tickets go stay on the account and the amount is used to future tickets.
So my question is does this amount have to be used in person? If a Canadian ticket comes up next year can I call and buy them and use the amount towards them?

The expiry date on the Canadian discount tickets has been extended to May 31, 2021 last time I looked. I don’t think they are refunding or offering credit on tickets.

I won't be going until August 2021. I know they don't offer refunds, but thought it can be left to be used as credit for future tickets at Disney World.

As long as they are unused, you can apply the value of your tickets towards new tickets.

I don't see that on the Disneyworld site though - just Disneyland. Disney world site doesn't mention Canadian Resident tickets at all. Hopefully they update that to extend Canadian Residents like they are at Disneyland.

That’s good, but sadly won’t help us if we have to cancel Aug 2020 trip, the next time my daughter will get vacay time is Aug 2021.

Same that's why I was asking if you could buy new Canadian tickets (God willing they offer new ones next year) can you apply the amount from the ones on the account.

I‘m not sure. But if WDW isn’t open this Aug, and they do have another Canadian ticket offer I’m going to phone the ticket line and see.
