DH got pretty sick this week and is now on oxygen 24/7. Some of you may remember that he has heart/lung disease. In light of his markedly reduced stamina, I have decided to put off the foot surgery until next summer. The recovery period is long and difficult and it doesn't make sense for me to take on this elective surgery at a time when DH isn't up to speed. We have a profoundly mentally handicapped son who needs full care. He wears us out on a good day. I just can't foist him off on my DH when he's this low.
It seems at the moment that everything is working against us. We were going to take our new pop-up for it's first trip this Wednesday, but there is no way I can manage Christian without DH's help. I know that DH is not up to walking up and down hills in North Georgia. I just can't take care of both of them up on a mountain. So I have also cancelled our camping trip. I guess we'll stay home and hang out, maybe DH will be able to recover some. So far, he's not any better, but at least he's not worse.
