Hi Gang,

Just got of the phone to Disney, I've booked for next May on a '5 for 4' nights offer which combinded with early flights there and late flights back means we've got 6 DAYS in the parks !!! :goodvibes

Was going to book the Cheyenne but decided on the Sequoia Lodge in the end with going for so long plus I really like it there.

Anyway there's 8 of us going (me, my Son, Mum, Brother and his Wife plus their 3 kids) so it should be a great time, looking forward to it already!!!

BTW, got the flights for less than £60 each with EasyJet, bargain!

Cheers

How lovely Bilboo,

I'm hoping the time will fly, as we're booked for April !!!!!!? Anyway Sequoia Lodge sounds like a good choice and you've got excellent air fares! :goodvibes

Great news Bilboo

Hope you all have a great time. :goodvibes

How exciting Bilboo! 6 whole days you lucky people!!

That sounds fab!:)

I would so love to take my neice and nephew to DLRP or WDW. They are 13 and 10 and have never been. My dream is that we will come into some money and surprise them with an all expenses paid trip.:cheer2:

My DS and DD would love to go with other members of the family too. I hope you all have a great time planning the trip.

We go in May every year and it is a wonderful time to be there. The weather is very pleasant and the parks are empty. We have been able to stay on many rides two or three times even the busy ones like POTC. It does get marginally busier during weekends but midweek it is deserted. You will have a wonderful time!!!

yay!

where are you flying from? we were looking at Jet2 from Leeds BRadford for about £40-£50 each way in December... but they only fly in the middle of the day so we'd loose all that time in the parks!

Hi All,

Thanks for your comments, everyone is really excited and looking forward to it.

Just to answer a couple of your questions we're going the week before Half-Term, as you can from my signature we normally go in September but my son starts school this September (about a week after he turns 4, worrying about that already!!!) so wanted to take him once more 'out of holidays' before school starts.

It's a bit naughty because my 3 nephews are coming out of school, but it has checked and authorised by the school. My Mum really wants to take them after she came with me in September as they would love it, she took them to Greece a couple of years ago but they just got bored so this will ideal for them.

Nicola, thanks for the info on May, I was going to post questions about the crowds and weather, good to hear they both should be good. Does anyone know how the weather/crowds compare to September?

Becks, I'm flying from Liverpool, I'm originally from there anyway so I'm use to the drive back and there's plenty of options for what I do with the car etc.

Cheers All!

4 seems very young to go to school . My DD will start when she's 4 in August 2007 but will turn 5 in the October and i thought she'd be young in her class. We're planning a return visit for her 4th birthday next October, a little later than we went this year and are hoping our friend's who have a little girl who's the same age will be able to come too so we might have our first visit in a group too !! Isn't it exciting even thinking about sharing the experience :goodvibes

Hi Angela,

I agree, 4 is very young in my opinion and to be honest it does worry me.

His birthday is late August so he was always going to be one of the youngest in the class, but the school we initially had him down for had an intake in the January so he wouldn't have started until Jan 07 when he would have been 4y 4m.

The problem is following my split with my Wife we've had to change the school as she's moving about 8 miles away, and whilst the school is better they only have a September intake which means he will literally be just turned 4.

We have spoken to the school and they've said we could put a request in writing for a January start but they've advised against it as the class would have already 'bonded'.

On the plus side he does attend nursery 4 days a week so he's use to that sort of environment so it shouldn't be such a shock to him, I still think of him as a baby though (and 'my' baby at that!) so it's quite upsetting to think of him in school as such a young age.

The funny thing is had he been born 4 days later he would actually be starting in September 08, such is life I suppose!

BTW, yes it's very exciting sharing the experience, I can't wait to show my nephews all around Disney and my Son is very excited that his cousins are coming with us.
