Ok, after MUCH drama the last 3 months trying to come to some decisions on all of this... we have a plan and a date! Some of you know we had the hardest time deciding on this- do we do disney, or the keys (I think we got a great compromise on that!), do we spend a ton of money, or buy DVC- well, we went with the latter. The date is about 4 months earlier than our plan, but it's a VR, so it doesn't really matter, but we decided for our plan we wanted warmer weather, and since we were going in fall for the halloween party, we could just do it! It will be our first DVC trip, first fall trip, and our first sea world trip... and a special day for us to renew our vows and have a really fun day celebrating eachother, all four of us as a family

So here it is.... drum roll please....

Discovery Cove Vow Renewal!!!!

Yep, that's right, discovery cove! We are going to stay on property (using our new DVC accommodations- hoping for AKV!), take photos there, and have breakfast (planning for Ohanas doing that as our 'theme' of the wedding- family, and then head to DC late morning for a vow renewal in our cabana... take photos and do a bit of a trash the dress most likely considering that location!, and then change into swim suits, and swim with the dolphins! The dolphins' bringing us a buoy with the dates on it- isn't that cute We'll visit the birds, swim with the sting rays, and relax on the beach for the rest of the day. Then spend the rest of the family moon at both disney and sea world.


We are SOOOO excited!!! It has all the elements we wanted. I'll still be doing my big red gown, but I'm thinking I might find myself a cute weddingish bikini (in white)... And I'm working on a tropical bouquet...

Yay! Thanks everyone for your help along the way! AND- any ideas on a tropical/disney/dolphin type of wedding are welcome!! I'm working on how to pull it all together

Thank you!! Yep, we're planning on it- we're going to do one of the kids nights at the poly- the neverland club- I'm not sure if we'll be up for it the night of the wedding- and it's too early to book, but if not then, the next night for sure! I'm debating hiring a nanny for part of the day as well, haven't decided yet! I also just asked a friend who goes to disney a lot if she might be able to help, so crossing my fingers on that!! We're also planning to do something just us- maybe the segway tour- not sure yet... but I wanted the ceremony itself to be about us, and our children.

I am SO excited on this too- I just picked out my flowers today! Here i've been so confused, and it's all come together today! I am doing red roses with white orchids, a bit of bling and some shells- it's so pretty, and brings it all together I am using my local florist, but she's helping me with silks, I took my dress in to her this afternoon to look at a lot of options and what actually looked right with it- that was SO helpful! If you ever wonder about flowers against a colored dress, it was amazing how much it helped!

I've really got to get working on that PJ soon!

Yes, we do! I read your PJ and I thought- Oh how similar we are in our indecisiveness!! All's I can say is keep thinking it through and the right answer will eventually come along! Hopefully sooner than later, because if you are like me, you're really unhappy with uncertainty! I had never thought of DC either- on a whim I just called them up- they were fantastic, and we thought, this is it! Sometimes I just think things happen for a reason and it'll make more sense when you get there!
