Just got back this afternoon after a glorious 19 day trip to The World. I've just started downloading my pics, but if you want to know how crowded it was on the Fourth of July, take a look.

I suppose if I had the time or the inclination, I would have tried to make this a photostitch shot, but it was hot, it was mobbed, and I wasn't quite up to it. My little CAnon A95 performed nicely, I think, under the circumstances. :thumbsup2

Gee, that's funny....looks almost like it does when I take the kids down during school vacation and spring break is happening :lmao:

JUST WARMER :sunny:

Whoa! Another good reason (besides the H&H) NOT to go in July!

Heh. I have to say: the weather was hotter in New York City than in Orlando for most of the time we were there. So it was a relief! The mornings, until around noon, were lovely and mild, 80-ish, and the evenings were wonderful -- not sticky or icky. Even July 4th was tolerable. Crowded, but tolerable. What was surprising was the amount of RAIN. Torrents. Monsoons. Not just quick showers, but fierce, tree-shaking storms that lasted an hour or two and came up at unpredictable times. Maybe that helped keep things cool??

I should also point out: those pictures were taken around 8:30. The fireworks weren't until 10.
