I'm back - whew!

Not sure if Dizzyami posted yet or not - I'm a week late. We got back on Sunday, jumped into our weekly schedule on Monday & I'm just now catching my breath!! Dizzyami went at the same time & we joked we might see each other...

I was standing in line for EE (1st one in one of the lines I might add, Go Me!!) & I noticed this couple looking at me. I'd never seen them so I thought, "well this IS CA, maybe some movie star is behind me." No one behind me. That's when she says, "MagicalMomAZ??" It was Dizzyami!!! We saw each other a few times & it was nice to have a friendly face to say hello to while i was there. Very COOL.

All the CM's were awesome. I am a bit of a foodie so I thought all the food sucked except at the BB. DS had a big poopy mess at the Jazz Kitchen, er, also World of Disney so if you used the restroom while i was on cleanup duty - sorry. But I DID get a maintenance worker in there.

Desert Inn & Suites was Awesome Awesome Awesome!! Close, clean, & 2 rooms were perfect for a family of 4. We watched the fireworks from the room (tired 3 yo) & I heard the booms & had a GREAT view from room 309. DI&S had horrible parking, but we never drove so it was ok.

We conquered both parks completely in 2 days - but I will never do that again. You get bored faster & tired faster too. BUT bc we did that we had a day for the beach.

Oh! And no SM pic this time. We sat DD, DH, DS, me - poor DS was too short to be seen so we didn't buy it. But we did take a pic of the pic. I guess DS was crying when he went down but bc I was behind him I didn't see. As soon as we turned the corner & Brer Rabbit was there they dried up & he was smiling but it scared him pretty good. DH didn't tell me until late that night so I never knew & felt horrible when I did.

I'm going to try & make DL every other January - every Jan may be tough. I'm so happy we went, I feel satisfied w/ my Disney fix!

Wanted to add a funny thing....

Evidently my family thinks Alice at GK is weird. DS dove under the table when she came, DD clammed up & when she left DH says, "Alice creeps me out." I don't know if she was OVER-engaging or what. Jasmine didn't have much to say & the furry characters were loved - so I don't know why she creeped them out but I thought I'd pass it along.

Hi Magical Mom!!!

I haven't posted a trip report - I have never actually done one, but maybe now is the time!!! It was great running into you at DL (many times ) As we kept passing you in the park I was very happy that I had talked to you in line - or we would have been going crazy the whole trip!!! I am sorry for the 10 minutes of staring at your family in line - I am not a social person AT ALL - so after a few minutes of convincing DH it was you he finally told me to just go over and ask!!! You looked nothing like your pic on Splash (in your siggie), but fortunately I had seen the whole part with your DD many times, and it is amazing she still looks just like the little one in the picture!!! That, and you seemed to follow all the advice you had been given on these boards - so you were very easy to identify!!!

I must say I saw her as we were getting off the ride...and getting off dumbo...and getting off Mr. Toads... We were definitely following the same strategy - I am glad I said something to her or I would have thought I had a stalker

We did get lucky though - we were second in line, but the vacant line next to us opened right before the park opened - so we were at the front of the line too!!!

I didn't see her as she was getting off for any of those - bc I am oblivious! Our plan was mad dash for PP but then Chip & Mickey were out & we HAD to stop! DH kept telling me, "You're not sticking to your plan you know!" Whatever - I had fun. Dizzyami - glad we were able to connect, it's pretty neat when these boards can do that for people.

Another thing is when we went back on day 2 BTMRR was down in the morning & we hadn't been on yet so we were bummed. But during a potty break our DH's were chatting & noticed it was up & running again. So maybe...if they hadn't been standing there....we would have never known & missed it!

Our original plan was to get to DL Thurs afternoon, then realizing CA traffic would be really bad we changed to arriving late Wed. Well, DD came home from school and said we should leave at 4am Wed , and DH agreed . So we actually hit the parks Wed, getting 15 autographs or so - we just kept running into characters - it was crazy!!! So this did allow us to not fall victim to the Mickey trap at the front of the park

Day 2 was very sad for us too - as we ran to BTMRR to find the ride closed (our next choice Matterhorn was closed too ) At least that was one potty break DH couldn't give me a hard time for as it ended up being very useful!!! I do love these boards though, and this is a great example of how either we could all be stalked severely ....or meet up with those that we chat with all the time!!!
