Hi All,

Well my trip to DLRP has been - and gone....I'll put up a trip report soon - however, some thoughts for anyone about to go.

Probably already in the forum, but thought I'd share these anyhow:

1) It's cold over there at the moment - wrap up warm

2) Casey Jr
The Park Map says it's closed for the season - certainly open whilst we were there (13 November - 17 November).

3) Parks seem quieter than last year - we visited same week last year and it seems quieter - as did the Eurostar.

4) Shareholders
Push for your 15% discount - I was only getting 10% in some places (although in one place I bizarrely got 25%). Some places only had barcodes for 10% - others had barcodes for both 10% and 15%, and needed some 'pressure' to use the 15%.

5) Characters can be found in Liberty Acarde during the 4pm Christmas Parade

6) Lion King - Whilst tickets are still required (11am - around the back of Videopolis) plenty of people where receiving tickets at the time of the showing.

7) Time flys at a different rate other there - 5 days seemed to fly by (!).

8) If going to Val D'Europe - get the train - it's cheaper.

Can't think of anything else.

Hope this helps someone.

Regards

Iain

Hi cannp123165 - yes thank you, I (we) had a great time - only wish it was for longer. Trying to work on a plan to get back there around Easter!

Welcome home Iain :wave2:
Interested in how you travelled to Val d'Europe :)

When we were in Town Square visiting Santa we overheard his elf (!) talking to another CM and saying she could never remember the park being as quiet as it was then. This was, of course, good for us but worrying for the long term survival of DLP

That's a really good tip Iain - wish we'd known about that!

6 days to go and can't wait , thanks for the tips .

That was very helpful Iain, Thank you.... looking forward to your Trip report

hopefully this is more to do with the problems in Paris... i know someone has mentioned that the French are reluctant to travel at the moment.... hopefully thing will pick up for DLRP otherwise... if the worst comes to the worst.... i can't afford to go to WDW all the time!

I'll do my bit, I just booked for next August last night! :)

On a serious note, whilst none of us want excessive crowds while we are there, we do need "bums on seats". Perhaps you are right Becks, in thinking that the troubles in Paris have put some locals off going.

Iain, sorry for being so rude. Glad that you had a great time, thanks for the tips especially the shareholders discount one, and I look forward to hearing all about your trip.

Gld you had a great time Iain - and thanks for the tips!! :flower:

Hi,
Thanks for the info,

Is the shareholders discount only for table service restraunts or can I use mine at counter service like Caseys Corrner Hyperion Cafe etc etc?

As I used to be able to get the 10% with my now expired Fantasy Passport.

Thanks, and thanks for all your tips.

Thanks for the tips!

Am sooooo excited for my trip in Dec'
