Phew, it's nice to be home! We had the BEST trip ever! I took over 600 pictures and I will get busy writing a trip report soon, hopefully. Flights over and back were great, uneventful. Did pilates and weight training the first week and just didn't bother the second week. We did our share of walking and I only gained a pound, although I think some inches have snuck up on me (haven't measured yet though!!!) :)

Ross only gained a pound too, I think. We ate whatever we wanted and I turned into a chocoholic by the end of the trip, but we are back on program today and feel like we were able to have a wonderful time without worrying about everything we ate. We enjoyed spending lots of time with my family and exploring new places. Even ventured out to the countryside on a bus on our own and travelled to visit my cousin via train. It was the BEST BEST BEST BEST BEST trip, sunny nearly every day, warm (by England standards) and we enjoyed every single minute, except the part when we had to say our goodbyes yesterday morning.
:( :( :( :(

I went through WISH withdrawl and I am anxious to catch up and see how everyone is doing. That could take days if not a week, the way this board moves! ha ha!

Glad to be home and get back into my healthy eating/exercise routine. Along with chocolate, I also started using mass quantities of salt and a little bit of sugar. I know I will have alot of withdrawl to go through this week. Filled myself with loads of fish and chips, chips in general, scones with jam and cream, a little bit of beer, and chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! ;)

Off to pour a cup of tea! ;)

We did miss you and just take your time having that tea, we know when you say you are back OP it won't be long and we will be hearing how those blades "hum" and Molli will surely be on your case with an updated version of her muscle mania torture!

Sounds like there was not too much damage done and so wonderful that you had good weather, good time visiting and site-seeing. Wow - over 600 pixs - sounds like you were busy!

Welcome Home - and to Ross too!

Hi Karen!! I am so happy that you are back once again. I have missed you so much!!! Glad to hear that your trip was a successful one and that you enjoyed your eating without worrying. Now that you are back on program that one pound gain doesn't stand a chance of hanging around. Welcome home!!!

Glad You Are Back!!!

You were missed, but it sounds like you had a wonderful trip. 600 pictures I think tops the amount I have ever taken on one trip:D . I know you will get back on top of things in no time.

Doesn't sound like you did any damage to your weight loss while you are gone and that is great. Can't wait to catch up with you.

Hugs, Tammy

WOW only 1 pound!!! I'm kind of fearful of our trip to WDW in September because of all the PS's I've made (only one a day but some are doozies!) and I want to have a good time but don't want to really undo my hard work- you've given me inspiration that it can be done!!!

We've missed ya and are so glad you're encouraging spirit is back to get us all pumped up for a great summer of staying healthy!!

Welcome back!!! Glad to hear that you had a fun time, can't wait to read your trip report, and hopefully see some pics too! We missed you!:D

Thanks so much for the warm welcome back. I really did miss you guys so much! Coming home from the trip isn't so bad because I have this wonderful group of "family" to share things with! Awww, group hug! :)

I WILL be posting pictures on our site one of these days. Just gotta get my trip notes together and get started. Hee hee!

Let me tell you, I was afraid to put anything in my mouth the first few days and I did my share of guilt trips in the beginning, but then I just decided "to heck with this" and let myself enjoy the trip and the food. For the most part I had cereal for breakfast and if I had a heavy lunch, I tried to have a light dinner and vice versa. For me, the vacation is about the people, the places we visit AND the food. Ross and I ate things we either don't have over here or just aren't common over here. It was great! NOBODY can do fish and chips like they do 'em in England. We even went to the sea side and had the best fish and chips EVER there! But the sea side is also surrounded by hills and cliffs and we did our share of walking up and down and up and down and up and down and around and around. That really helped! ha ha!

I am just rambling on now. I am surprised that I only gained a pound but I am not complaining!!! I felt very fluffy towards the end of the trip but am back on track now. It was difficult to NOT eat everything I saw yesterday, but I resisted and feel great today. Just got back from rollerblading. Same distance I was up to before I left, but I took it slower than normal and I feel fine. We'll see how I do with pilates in a few minutes, yikes! ;)

So go on your vacations and eat what you want and don't feel guilty becuase once you get home you can do any damage controll that is needed. ;)

Missed you! Missed you! Missed you!!!!!
I am so glad you are back and glad to hear you had such a great time! Cannot wait to hear all about it!!!!!
WISH was not the same without ya! :)

Welcome back!
Kamy
