I'm back! Highs & Lows

Hi folks! Got back last night from a fantastic few days at dlp.

Highs
The castle. It was stunning!
Hotel New York, loved everything about this hotel, worth every penny spent!
Meeting Snow White, she was absolutely lovely and incredibly beautiful!
Riding all the kiddie rides in the EMH
Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, so much fun!
Casey Jr and le pays de conte des fetes being open (especially enjoyed Casey Jr)
Stitch Live! I'd never done this before but thought it was brilliant.
The merchandise! Spent so much more than I was expecting

Lows
The Magical Moments show being cancelled on the first day. Which meant we didn't get to see it
A kid peeing in the bushes of Toy Story Playland
People standing up on storybook boats
Character scrums, Sully was being mobbed by kids and had no direction. The attendant giving out stickers really needed to help out here.
Our shuttle being late on the way back, I'm not sure if it was due to traffic or if he was just running late but I would have appreciated a phone call to let us know as we didn't know what was going on.

Overall it was a fantastic trip and I'm not sure how I'll cope without going back again in the foreseeable future.

sounds like you had more highs than low!!

i hate people letting their kids pee anywhere. ash has been since she was 2 and whenever she needed to go we managed to find a toilet.

thats terrible about your shuttle, what company did you use?

Do you know why the MM show was cancelled as the weather was good on the 14th (we spent the day over there but left before that) ?

I've seen 2 children peeing in the studios recently (on seperate days) and I don't understand the parents letting them do it. Both times were within site of the toilets so no excuse

The Sully thing is exactly what I deplored on another post concerning Remy and Emile. It was a free for all and the Cm stood to one side chatting instead of sorting it out.

Last summer, attractions started to close late afternoon, and the whole of Adventureland shut quite early.

Was a major bone of contention for me

Adventureland would have been to prepare for the fireworks I bet as they are launched from over there.

Yes, that was the reason. It seemed very early though, and one couldn't help feeling a little shortchanged, especially when Phantom Manor, train, etc. also closed early leaving virtually nothing to do on that side of the park.

Gross that people let their kids pee anywhere - but sadly also happens in London (on a train platform was my last experience - disgusting!) so I won't hold it against DLP!

I don't know they didn't say, but I was very disappointed as I'd been looking forward to seeing it as it was the only 'magical moments festival' thing that I was interested in seeing. There was a small dark cloud that started to loom over Frontierland at about 6.45 which is why I thought they had delayed it and then it became clear about 6.55 so I'm not sure as to the reason.

Some characters managed the crowds quite well, such as Daisy Duck. She was being mobbed but managed to manage very well on her own. (And I got an extra special hug for waiting so long and telling a whole bunch of kids to go ahead of me )

A TR will be worked on at some point in the very near future folks, don't you worry... I took 390 photos and that was just from my camera. My two friends' took just as many each... I need some sort of vice so apologies in advance for a picture heavy TR

Ezyshuttle, surprisingly. But the guy who picked us up from the airport had told us about one of the other drivers who had been late 5 times in 2 weeks.
I won't hold it against them though, as the first guy was really nice.

was looking around for you at breakfast time at hotel new york, but not knowing what you look like was pretty hard lol just looking for a group of 3 girls, who spoke english haha but out of your group, was there a girl with short bleach blonde hair? i was gonna take a pic, but thought it would be rude to take a pic of random strangers lol

haha oh my goodness, well we were at the round table behind you on wednesday, with the wee toddler in the high chair that kept throwing his food on the floor, that was my wee boy lol i was sitting next to him, with a mickey mouse tshirt and specs too, wished i had came over now.

wait a sec, it could have been thursday as i remember one day we had breakie in the bar as it was full. i do remember the girl with the blonde did have an NYPD top on, lol
