...but at least he wasn't awarded custody.
His lawyer really tried hard to rip me apart, and painted me in a horrible light. It was the most gut wrenching, nerve wracking experience of my life. Everything out of my ex's mouth was pretty much a lie.....his fiance never showed up as a witness, but 2 old friends of mine and his mother did. Wow, it's funny how you think people *used* to like you...
At any rate, the judge decided to leave our situation at "status quo" meaning that we have to switch her off every week. I'm so ticked and depressed...he claims that he's putting her in school next week (yea, right!!) and now her new school is going to be disrupted because of this crap. I'm not even sure if her school will allow her every other week classes....and if they do, I'll probably have to pay for when she's not there.
By the way...apparently Dawn is still married as well. So two people who are still legally married to someone else are now engaged to each other. Nice.
My head hurts, I cried all through lunch with Maddy because it just hurts my heart to have to do this. I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT!!! I just want to scream
The divorce will happen in the next few months, but no date has been set yet
I thank you all for thinking of us...please continue to pray that it will get better.

His lawyer also made a big deal of pointing out that I was stupid for quitting my old $10 an hour job to go work for Disney. I argued that at Disney I have benefits, the ability to use their daycare and financial aid, and the chance for advancement. He didn't care. He also thought it was bad that I put her in daycare 8 hours a day (a normal working shift).
He also cheerfully admitted that he did indeed call me a terrorist in his faxed letter back in July. I told him I thought it was in poor taste, he said it was because I held my child "hostage" and I don't know what would have happened if the Judge didn't stop it there.
Siiiiiigh.
