Hey you guys!
I'm back from Disneyland. I don't do trip reports, don't like the typing involved so I'll just give you a little recap of each day.
Day 1 - Monday. Went to Disneyland Park all day. Met David Gill, the Ambassador to DisneyLand. Got presents, I got a Mickey Ears hat, a biography on Walt Disney, and something else I forgot. LOL
Day 2 - Tuesday. Did California Adventure, didn't like it very much. Later in the evening we went back to Disneyland Park.
Day 3 - Wednesday. Today was a rest day. I could not handle going into another park, so we hung around at our hotel (Paradise Pier) all day and went to Downtown Disney at night.
Day 4 - Universal Studios Hollywood. Man was that BORING! They have like 5 rides, crowded as heck, and it felt like 110 degrees cause it's in the valley. I didn't even make it to 11am there. The whole family was disappointed, we were expecting a lot more. I got heatstroke that morning, very scary. My head felt a little tingly in the morning, I thought it was just hunger so I went on the Simpsons Ride anyway (Awesome ride BTW) and went to eat breakfast after. By the time I got breakfast I hadn't even gotten to the table by the time my muscles had constricted all over my body. Tight feeling everywhere, mostly in my chest. My hands cramped up, my thumbs were between my ring fingers and I could NOT move them. Thankfully this has happened to me before, I knew exactly what to do. We went to first aid, drank 2 BIG bottles of water, took some Benadryl and rested and I was fine. Didn't want to over do it, so I hung out in the shops and shows the rest of the time.
Day 5 - Friday. Disneyland Park again, our last day. My mom and sister did extra magic hours so they were there at 7am, me at 8am. Had a great time. By 9pm, my scooter was dead for the THIRD time this trip. It happened the 1st and 2nd night. It was dead as a doorknob, you couldn't even push it. We ended up getting a wheelchair escort back to Main Street (it died by Splash Mountain but we made it to New Orleans Square) then we could loan that WC while cast members took it backstage to deliver it to the hotel.
Needless to say, the scooter dying on me made me pretty pissed. Moral of the story - ALWAYS take the wheelchair. Which BTW, we took our own, but it got lost for 2 days. The airports had no idea where it was.
Theres more I gotta tell you about, including sad news, but my hands are tired now LOL!
