(finally got my pics up)

The Wildebeests are an animal with great drive. They will travel hundreds of miles to get to where they want to be. It will swim through crocodile infested rivers and tangle with their worst enemies in order to reach it's destination. Nothing can stop their animal need to migrate.

Why do they need to migrate? Warmth? Relaxation? Abundant food?

Like the Wildebeests I too have an animal instinct to migrate. Warmth, relaxation and abundant food are just some of the factors. But really I need a do over. My last trip was great, don't get me wrong there, but ever since I came back life just hasn't been the same. I feel like I have returned to a parallel universe, negative things happening left and right. I have had 2 planned trips since then fall through, but 3rd time is a charm. I am hoping that upon returning from this next trip I will travel through the right wormhole and have my old life back, the life where it's not a struggle to smile.

O.K. that might have been a little melodramatic. I had just come home to some horrible news, it just keeps escalating and is still rolling to this day. I have alot of stress and I know Disney magic can cure that.

So who is going?
There's me....

My name is Ty, I am 37. A mother of two teens, Up until last year I was a cheerleading coach and partners in a silkscreening business. that has all changed, now I am training to be a bridal consultant and working at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I love my job but it took alot of getting used to working for someone else. I love all things Disney, I love to plan, however it's been so long since I've been on the boards it's almost all new to me again. I need to get my Disney juices flowing again.

my son Jim is 17. He plays lead guitar in a band called "The Offspring of Revolution." he is not going on this trip.

my daughter Reese 15.
She was the lead singer in Jim's band, but has recently left to start her own band, both bands have a manager and are cutting demos. She is not going on this trip either.
I just like showing pictures of my kids, I'm a mom, it's what I do.

My sister Bo,

(I am in the red shirt)
she would be upset if I out right told you her age, I will say that I am the younger sister by 2 years. ;) Bo is a physical therapist and lives in Mi. I get to see her about twice a year. she is the Martha Stewart of our family, she can't resist throwing a party and decorating and cooking to the nines. She will use any excuse to throw a party. Spork day was one of those excuses. "Why would you celebrate a spork?" I asked. She told me "It's a spoon, it's a fork, who wouldn't celebrate spork day?":confused3

BO is a Disney newbie, she has yet to see the great world. I know she will find lot's to clebrate there.

My mom, Pixie, yes that is her name (I am still trying to get her picture uploaded onto photobucket) Her age? Let me think....She just celebrated the
30th anniversary of her 29th birthday.:teacher: How's that for a math problem. Mom likes Disney, she watches the movies, sings the songs but she has never experienced Disney in the physical sense. It took a couple years to get her to say yes. I was visiting Mi. this past February, Mom and I took a trip To Frankenmuth, while we were perousing Bronners I said "This is so much fun, imagine how much fun Disney would be, we should go." And mom said...O.K  I was stunned, and before she could change her mind I was already making plans.

We might have one more traveler, mom's friend J, Mom hasn't been able to get a hold of her to ask.

When?
January 2010. We first started planning for December of 2010, but that's like almost 2 years away, and I can't hang with that number. so 10 months is all I have to wait for this trip.

Where?

We will be staying at Pop Century for 7 nights 8 days. We are a thrifty family, value appeals to us, it says more bang for your buck. We will be using the DDP, cause again it says value to us, oh and we love food.

Just having a trip planned and writing a PTR is theraputical. I can feel the stress leaving now.

I wanted to post pics, but it won't let me I don't know how to make it let me, it always let me for my other PTR's and TR's I guess it just doesn't like me anymore. Anyway, this is just a little info to get this thing started I will be back again to post more news as it comes in. And hopefully be able to figure out why when I hit on "insert image" it just goes bloop.

Hi Ty!:yay: Love reading your PTR.. Followed you over from one of mine..

2 of my kiddos are the same ages as yours.. My oldest DD is 17 and my DS is 15.. I do also have an 11 yo DD.. Boy they grow up so fast huh???

So you are going on a girls only trip? How fun that sounds..

Have you ever been to Pop? Ive been 3 times before and my 4th is coming up.. I like all the values.. With Sports being my least favorite.. we stayed there on our family trip last year.. but Movies and POP are my favorites.. Definitely a decent bang for the buck.. We love the pizza delivery truck :rotfl2: Its too cute!

Cant wait to hear more..

Hi Thanks for reading.

When I read your PTR I was thinking we had some in common with our kids ages and love for Disney.

Yea, I guess this is a girls only trip. I wanted it to be a mom and kids trips, but my kids didn't want to go. I must have done something wrong when raising them to make them turn down Disney.:confused3

I have stayed at Pop twice before, I've thought about the All Star movies, but it's the bus system that keeps me at Pop, I like that they have their own buses. Each time I go I take newbies so I get to experience it through their eyes.

Looks like J will probably be going on the trip. Mom got a hold of her today, come to find out Mom had been calling the wrong number and leaving messages on a strangers machine. Duh mom. Now that poor person probably wants to go to Disney too.

It totally surprised me today when my mom was all excited about Disney, she said she was feeling a little eh about the whole trip but woke up this morning looking forward to it. That does so much for me, it's hard to carry excitement for everyone else. I was always afraid to talk "Disney" with them for fear of Disneying them out. I could talk Disney all day and night and never grow sick of it. That's why these boards are so awesome!!!!!

Can I get an Amen here?

I think I got the picture thing figured out now, so I can finally get this PTR started out right. oh that's me with my main man. I'm all about Goofy!!!

Hello! Just subbied! Your title made me LOL! :lmao:

Can't wait to hear more; love the pic of you and your main man!

Hi thanks for reading. I'm not kidding when I tell ya I need Prozac in the form of a Disney pill. It used to be just going to my happy place in my mind did the trick, but it's time to go back now for a refill on that prescription.

I guess I am all alone in the PTR. It's kinda like talking to myself. Which isn't a bad thing, I talk to myself alot. When I get bored talking to myself I then talk to my chihuahua Falula, she's a little hard to understand because of her thick accent, but we do alright. Her sister just passed away last month so now Falula is really clingy, she sits on my shoulder while I look through my Birnbaum book for Disney. I pretty much have it memorized now, I buy it each year even though it hardly changes except to add a ride or a restaurant here and there. It just seems like the right thing to do.

It's been forever since I have come to the boards it's almost like starting a new school and I'm the new girl that nobody wants to talk to. Really I am nice.

So on with my planning.

I talked to Bo today, she wants a meal with the princesses, I don't think we are going to try for the castle, we are saving that for when we take our niece Jazzlynn in 4 or 5 years. Let me tell you about Jazz, my baby brothers daughter. She is my hero. She was born last May with Downs syndrome, her liver and kidneys were so swollen and she had Leukemia, she went through Chemo at 4 weeks old, by the time she was 3 months she had several rounds. she is allergic to protiens and that is why at 9 months old she only weighs, 10 pounds. She just graduated out of newborn outfits and into 0-3month. She is such a peach, my mom calls her buttercup, we all call her Tink because she is so tiny. She is so amazing and doing great now, no Leukemia cells present and her heart is strong. Bo and I want to take her to Disney, of course her mom Lola is welcome to come, but she has to let us spoil her. Anyway...so I think we are going to do the princess breakfast in Askershus. Don't know if I spelled that right, cripe! I can't even pronounce it. I have never eaten there, I have heard ok things about it, the way I see it is every thing is worth trying once, I mean everything at Dsney is worth trying once.

Mom wants Crystal Palace, I have done that twice, I prefer their breakfast to lunch, but I am not a big breakfast person, I just don't think their lunch buffet has alot of choices. It's up to mom, whatever she wants.

I definitely want LTT, it's a must for me. So we have 3 ideas for table service, we need 4 more, it should be easy to fill, I can't even make ADR's until July 13th.

I have grown bored talking to myself now, so I'm gonna go chat with Falula now.

I talk to my fur babies all the time!!

We're trying Akershus for a princess meal this time; I've heard it's different, but good. What other types of ADRs do you have in mind? Any type of food you're looking for where you'd like suggestions?? Let me know!!

I really don't know what I am looking for this time. I know, we are doing Askershus, Liberty Tree Tavern, Crystal Palace and Coral Reef,

in the past I have done Sci-Fi, 50's Primetime and Planet Hollywood, I could handle Sci-Fi again but I didn't like 50's Primetime and I know my mom won't like Planet Hollywood, What do you suggest? My mom and sister both want as many character dinings as possible, but not all breakfasts.

Have you done Chef Mickey's? It is one of our favs. O'hana is supposed to be a great character meal, but it's breakfast. And, same thing with Tusker House. We did Cape May Cafe for breakfast character meal last time, and it was one of our favs.

What about Cinderella's Royal Table? If you haven't been there, you HAVE to go at least once! It's gorgeous!

Hi, I just read your PTR and I am subbing. popcorn::

Have you thought about 1900 Park Fare at the GF for a princess breakfast? We are going to try it for the first time in September but I hear that it is awesome. Chef Mickey's is a lot of fun too, even without princesses ;) . I think my favorite character breakfast is at Tusker House at DAK. Yum....

Happy planning and I am looking foward to reading more.
