Ragweed season has returned to North Texas. Oh, what joy. My nose drips like a leaky faucet. I sneeze hard enough to crack ribs, and driving is hazardous when I'm sneezing . My eyes are glassy and squinty, and will tear up with no warning. My nose is already getting raw, and I smell like Mentholatum. My DH finds that so attractive.

Anyone else having as much fun as I am???

My allergies returned to their peak a couple weeks ago. Runny nose, watery eyes, hacking, you name it. A few days later I started with a fever. Suddenly the runny nose and hacking got WORSE. Yup, on top of the allergies I caught the campus cold I'm slowly getting back to "normal". And by normal I mean only allergies; I've still got the watery eyes, runny nose, and nasty hacking cough. They're just not AS bad.
I've gone through multiple boxes of tissues in the last couple weeks, and loads of Benedryl and decongestant.

Can't allergy season be over yet?

Hopefully a freeze will be taking care of all your seasonal allergies soon. We should anticipate our first freeze here sometime in Nov or Dec.

I called the doctor to refill my Zyrtec. Hopefully she won't make me come in for an office visit. Haven't been in there in a year and a half. It's just allergies, for heaven's sake!

Well, Monarchsfan16, I'm sorry you're miserable, too (though glad you've gotten rid of the cold!), but you know what they say... misery love's company. Want to share my box of Kleenex????

Wow - we learn something new every day. I didn't know that chocolate was good for stuffy noses! Can I still eat some even if my nose is not stuffy?

Eliz--if you don't have a membership to SAM'SCLUB, but a friend does, you can get 300 allergy tablets for the cost of what a package of 30 would cost in a drug store. That's what DH did..our neighbor has a membership but we don't. He bought a pack for DH and we just gave him the money.
