Nice try, but some people are exempt from following certain rules. For example, people with FOP stickers on their cars in Chicago don't have to stop at stop signs. Geez... what would we complain about if all the rules applied to everyone and we all actually followed them?

I wish they applied to everyone! We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise a few weeks ago. It used to be that they were VERY strict about the dress code for dinner. However, we saw several people wearing shorts in the diningroom at dinnertime. Why do I have to dress up, but they don't? BTW, on our previous Norwegian Cruise Lines cruise, they WERE turning people away from the diningroom who were dressed in shorts.

And how about the people who drive past the line of cars in the exit lane at rush hour and cut in across the double white lines right at the exit? If the rules applied to them, they'd have to get up a half hour earlier to wait in the line like the rest of us.

I have a theory these are the same people who walk up as a parade is starting and expect you to let their kids in front of you at the rope.

Nope, it isn't just in the UK. In fact, I don't believe luxury cars can be purchased with turn signals/indicators in the US.

I have heard it is in the Handbook, Around here if you drive a Mercedes you can roll thru stop signs, My friend told it was in the Handbook I have never seen either handbook myself so I tend to believe my friend

I LOVE the people who don't think they have to use parking spaces and park right in front of the store, bank, etc.

Sometimes I'm there to grab one thing or only use the ATM, too, but I park in a space.

Turn signal use is proportional to the price of the car. The more you pay for a car the less chance the car came with direction signals.

Not just in the UK. In the USA as well. Didn't you get the memo? If you own a lexus you are exempt as well.

What about yielding to pedistrians. Seriously I was stopped the other day and the car the other way almost hit the walker. There are huge signs that say there is a crosswalk and you have to stop. It's a law no matter what state you are in so stop.

Or people who feel they don't have to stay behind safety rails/ropes. Living near theme parks I see this one a LOT. Of course I say just let the kids stay on the wrong side. If the parents are that stupid they can't keep their kids out of dangerous areas, maybe the population does need to be thinned some...

That's what I always told my poor son. He could never get away with anything. 10 kids in front of him would have done the same thing, but he'd be the one caught and made the example of. I just told him, well, don't do anything wrong and you won't get caught!
