I'm aggrivated!!!!!!!!!!!!! (long, crabby post)

Today after DD gets off the bus, I was asked by her friend if I could watch her until 5:30-ish so her mom can take her older sister to the doctor. Ok, fine by me. Her mom calls me a few minutes later on her way to the doctors. Her and the daughter are both sick so I need to watch DD's friend until 8:30 or 9:00. She hopes its ok since she doesn't have a car to come back over here to get her anyway. Well, just got a call from her mother again (now mind you she went to urgent care b/c she was sick and doesn't have a car), she wants me to watch her DD all night so she can work at a bar and make some extra money! ***!?!?!?! I thought she was sick. I think she even used the term bronchitis!

The little girl is very upset. She doesn't have clothes, pj's and hasn't done her homework yet. I'll let her borrow a pair of DD's pj's for the night. I'm supposed to drop her off at her mom's in the morning on my way to work so she can get ready and do her homework. They catch the bus at 8:15, i leave for work at 7:55. That's hardly tme for her to get ready and finish her work. She is so upset that she didn't get to do her homework tonight. She was begging her mother to come home! "mom, please......please, mom!"

I'm very aggrivated! This was my day off! I wasn't asked to do this before hand. The hour or so for the doctor was fine, but this unexpected all night thing ticked me off like you wouldn't believe!


It was already a bad day for me. I really didn't need this headache. I was at the dentist for 2 hours. I have beautiful, healthy teeth (dentist's words) but have gum disease and need some kind of deep cleaning scraping thing done over 3 visits. (on the plus side, no cavities lol)

I lost my cell phone at some point between last night at 6:30 and this morning at 9:00. I searched high and low (even in cupboards lol), under furniture, in the car, in cushions, under the beds, in the pillowcases, etc. It was no where to be found! Had to have it cancelled and get a new phone to the tune of $150!

Next time I get off a federa holiday, I'm staying in bed all day!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people have nerve.

It's not very fair "using" a daughter's friend as a free babysitter. There are those out there who really just don't get it.

I'd be pretty blunt w/the mom next time I talk with her. This all sounds like a set up from the start, ie, that the overnight thing was planned before she even came over to your house.

Thank goodness you are there for that little girl. I would hate to think that she would have been left at home alone while the mom works at the "bar". By the way, where is the sister who was also sick??

I don't even know where the sister lives!!!!!!! I know she has a 16 year old sister in Michigan. I had no idea that she had an 18 year old sister here too!?!?!?

You need to put a stop to this now because I guarantee you that it will happen again unless you put your foot down! Next time she asks, say no, its not a good time!
Some people have no problem with making their kids other peoples responsibilities!

My heart goes out to that little girl. You are a good person to do what you did. Even though it put you out and didn't make your happy you still did it for the little girl.

UGH that would drive me crazy too!


ITA with this was planned beforehand ( hence the getting off the bus and asking that way the mom was afraid to call you ahead of time!)
