Went out to get something to eat for dinner yesterday on I-Drive.Seen a sign stating all you can eat crab legs and lobster,so figured what the heck. The buffet look ok but I had onething on mind CRAB LEGS.Here is were the stupid part comes in,I did not ask how much it was per person:rolleyes2..

Well after 6 heaping plates full of the legs and 4beers later my DW,DD and I were done. The bill came out--$175 before tip!!!!!

Well I learned the hard way did'nt I...ALWAYS ASK HOW MUCH 1'ST!!!!!

I wont tell you the name of the place 'cuase it was my fualt..

that does seem pretty high for three people, but you're on vacation so what the heck

You can find coupons for places like those here and there, but yeah, the general price is $50 per person for the buffet, and I think some of them include lobster along with that as well. Crazy expensive for a buffet I agree when you can spend that at a nice upscale place and not feel like cattle.

I almost made a big mistake on NYE at WDW. Called CG for reservations for NYE and was so happy to get a table for 4 at 8pm, give my CC# to the operator, and thank God I ask how much it was per person. I was in shock because it was $500.00 pp. of course I cancelled. I don't usually ask the cost because I have an over all idea what each DW restaurant charges. I was really saved by the bell

You are not the only person who has paid way more for a meal than expected. We expect things to be fair and reasonably priced, and some people take advantage of this. Just chalk it up to experience and figure it's a good lesson to learn here in the US. Thaks for posting and warning other tourists.

Some Americans who our adoption agency told us about prior to our traveling to Russia when we were adopting our son told us about some individuals who didn't check prices for a dinner at a resturant in Moscow and were given a bill for almost the equivilant of $1000 -- ouch. And they had to pay it.

The Disney non-signature buffets or familly style fixed price meals like Boma and Ohana are around $35 pp, and I thought those were expensive. At least Disney lets you know everything up front, and the unique settings make these enjoyable to splurge on occassionally.
