A little back story on this. We watched all the Disney stuff on Travel Channel earlier this year. And the hostess of the show (Samantha Brown) talked about how you can even have a small Christmas Tree delivered to your room during the Christmas holiday.

Since my mom LOVES Christmas and we'll be there during that time, she and I had decided to see how much it would cost. Well, it's a bit on the pricey side for us, so that is out.

However, many disers have talked highly about a woman who makes and delivers baskets. So, I got in touch with her, and for half the price of the tree, my mom will be recieving a holiday basket shortly after our arrival. However, she doesn't know about it. It's a secret between myself, my hubby, and my dad. The card will say "From Mickey Mouse". She'll never know who did it.

Ok. That's my sneaky daughter move.

Here's an idea--can you buy an inexpensive small tree from somewhere like Big Lots, and then ship it down there. It won't be in your room all set up when you get there, but maybe you can sneak it into mom's room while she's out (send her on an "errand" for you or something)

We had the Christmas Tree dilemma when were stayed in the AllStar Music resort in 2004 and my oldest daughter was 4. She wanted to know where Santa would leave her presents. We purchased an inflatable tree from Oriental Trading. It was perfect!!!

Good idea. A tree isn't a HUGE deal to us while we're there. We just thought it'd be fun to have a small version. I think though we are going to take a strand or two of christmas lights and maybe some window clings and decorate our windows.

In the Christmas shop at DTD they sell an adorable 2' tree that's made for desks (DH got me one for my office last year). It's got fiber optics built in that change colors and it's covered in mickey head "ornaments". It's beyond cute and I think it's $25. this would be a perfect tree for a christmas trip and it'll be a nice souvineer to bring home to use for future holidays!
