We've only been back 1 month, 1 week and a few days and we are trying to figure out how to get back down in the shortest amount of time. I can't believe I'm missing it so much this time. It usually doesn't hit me for at least six months. I'm wondering if it had something to do with the length of stay, this one was 16 days total (12 at WDW) and the trip was more relaxing instead of rushed with the seven day trips we've had.

Damn April is starting to look good:eek:

I hear ya!

After returning in mid-October from our 1st Disney cruise we booked a 5 days at the Boardwalk Villas.

We are already looking for Oct:lmao:

Its always sad when you come back, especially to such a horrible winter. We find that if we are at least planning a trip then it isn't so bad. Then we have something to look forward to.

PS. Chris, of all the presents that my dd received for Christmas, the doll was her favourite. She was so excited when she saw it peeking out of her stocking. So THANKS again for doing that.

Belle,
Amy and I are glad we could help out. It wasn't a big deal for us but we are happy to have put a smile on your daughter's face.

Digskat,

Looking at Oct?:worship: I hate you:laughing: Driving again?

Minniemommy,
I need more snow, keeps me busy at work, therefore mind off Disney.

Ham Ham,
Maybe I should look into that DVC thing, sounds pretty expensive though.

Chris.

The longer trips are the best. So nice to be able to have a laid back visit. With having gone so often now we don't feel the need to rush around like crazy to see and do it all in one trip - I know I'll always have 'next time'.

I'm looking forward to having a non-Disney trip in March and the summer. Time for us to see and do something different. I find I'm happy enough if I'm planning a trip SOMEWHERE. Doesn't have to be Disney!!

However having said that I am going to try and sneak in a trip to Disneyland next spring!! :lmao: Just don't tell my dh yet!! :rolleyes1

It's been over a year since I've been to WDW - boy do I miss it! This time last year we were at POR for 7 days w/DDP hoppers + waterpark and more tickets. I have a 4 month old son now (I'm glad I have someone new to bring to Disney!!) and I'm aching to go somewhere - ANYWHERE! It doesn't help that my DH is working in Mexico right now - sometimes I really envy him  , especially when I have to shovel driveway and sidewalk AND our house is a corner lot. Yup, a trip ANYWHERE would be great right now...

Chris,
We definately will be driving unless they are giving flights away with some heavy duty antianxiety or free booze, 'cause hubby is such a whimp and is afraid to fly...he claims it is a control issue:lmao: We are renting DVC points from a fellow disboards member and canuck:cool2: . We are going to have the opportunity to stay at AKL for a little less then a moderate.:cheer2: Looking at Oct 19-28or29. We will definately be doing MNSSHP and possibly Universal Studios, we have 3 WDW parkhoppers left from a trip two years ago and 5 waterpark days. So if we buy anymore it will be for one day only. You have to try MNSSHP sometime I love it way more the Christmas party! Happy Planning Chris TTFN Kat

I hear ya! Even DS looked at me the other day and asked if it would get us back to WDW faster if he gave me all of the money in his bank account!

Ohhh! Candid that is so cute.

We have only been back since Monday and I am trying to figure out a way to go again. My DH is trying to figure out how to move there....

Chris and Belle,

It's nice to see some people from my neck of the woods on these boards. I live in Newcastle (I know, not a very original screen name but I wasn't able to come up with anything else at the time that I joined!) but born and raised in "The 'Shwa" (yes...I'm actually admitting this!).

I just got back Thursday and am wondering when my next trip is. I was thinking Thanksgiving, but I don't know I can't wait that long!

I know what you mean. Two years ago, my husband and I (well mostly me) decided that if we go twice a year, the post Disney time will be less depressing. Since then, I am in constant Disney mode. I have booked our resort and will be calling the ADRs for our second trip before we take our first trip of the year. I love it. We do feel sad when we get back, but it doesn't last long because we have another vacation to look forward to in a few months. I think once a year was too long for us.

And by the way, the longer trips are better. We don't feel rushed at all. And I do believe we have to take longer trips because the fare is so expensive.

Wish wish wish we could go twice a year! I agree w/ planning other trips to "take the edge off" missing Disney. We go to Niagara Falls at least twice a year, and Vancouver last year was wonderful. My family will be meeting up in Tenn. in the spring. It's just not the same as WDW though!
Sincerely,
DearDaisyinDurham(Region)
