I'm a NEW DVC'er w/200 BWV points!

WOO-HOO!!!!

I'm so happy that it was so easy to buy into BWV through Disney - I was firm that we wanted to buy there rather than SSR and they had the points available since I wasn't picky about use year.

I just got off the phone with MS and have the confirmation for our first trip home to a 1 BR Boardwalk View for 6 nights in March!

My dh wants to know if we can see fireworks from a BW view room and I promised that I'd ask here, since I know that you guys will have the answer.

A huge welcome home for you and your family!!! We also own at the BW and just love it. In all our stays we have never had the BW view, so cannot say from firsthand experience about the fireworks. My guess is that many of those rooms have some view of the fireworks.That very first DVC reservation is sooooo exciting!! (I still kinda feel the same way every time I book a trip!!) On of the recent threads on this board has some great photos of their BW stay!!

Congratulations and welcome home. You can see the fireworks from the Boardwalk View rooms. The higher the floor you are on the better the view. We stayed in a Boardwalk view a couple of times. We usually stay in standard view rooms and enjoy them very much. Of course we enjoy everything about the Boardwalk

We have stayed in BW view rooms on upper and lower floors, close to elevator and far away. All have had fireworks views. You will love your 1 bedroom BW view room. Warning: it is addictive and you may soon be looking for more points, so start saving your pennies ASAP!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I will admit to having an ulterior motive by treating dh to a wonderful view during our first official trip home - between the fireworks and the micro-brewery, I'm guessing he'll be thinking about more points by the end of the week.

Congratulations and welcome home! We love BWV. We really had a great fireworks view last fall on a high floor very far out from the main lobby. We could also see some of "Wishes" at MK. It's just great. As PP mentioned, start saving your pennies...add-on-itis is very contagious!

I just used Caskill's Planner program and I'm already thinking I should have snapped up all 220 points that were available, rather than just the 200....
