I am bringing frozen water bottles in a cooler. I am checking the cooler. We are using DME so I don't have to lug it around. It's within the size and weight limits. I called the airline and I was informed this would not be a problem.
Our cooler keeps the water frozen for at least a week. In the evening we leave a water bottle out so it thaws. In the morning, we throw a couple of frozen bottles in our backpack. That way we have cold water throughout the day.
