My husband and I are doing a split stay for our Aug trip (Aug 8 - 23).
This was the plan (till today):
Aug 8 - Aug 14 - Pop Century Standard Room
Aug 14 - Aug 16 - Coronado Springs Standard King Room
Aug 16 - Aug 19 - Royal Pacific (Universal)
Aug 19 - Aug 24 - Caribbean Beach Resort Standard King Room
Then, I discovered today that I booked an extra night at CBR.
We're supposed to be checking out on Aug 23. However, I apparently have to cancel and rebook the room. Of course, as my luck would have it, all rooms except the Pirate ones (which we have no interest in) are now sold out at CBR.
Coronado Springs has a standard King room for the duration of our stay at $208 per night (would have been paying $170 per night for Caribbean).
Should I just go with Coronado Springs instead? I was kinda looking forward to staying at Caribbean Beach (just so we could be insane and try out 4 resorts in 1 trip), but I can't get the room I want without paying for the extra night.
-------
Anyhow, I guess since it would now cost us about the same $ to stay at either Caribbean Beach or Coronado Springs, it all comes down to which resort to choose. If our main priorities are:
1. Nice rooms
I've looked at room photos so I do have an idea of what they look like. i prefer Caribbean's beach theme but am quite partial to Coronado's lack of a shower curtain.
2. Fast and reliable transport to the parks
I've checked the distance in terms of miles, but does 1 resort have a more convoluted bus system than the other?
3. Romantic-ness
I guess Port Orleans would be the choice for this, but both POFQ and PORS are a little too steep for a trip as long as ours.
Which would you recommend out of the two? (Sorry if this question has been asked many times before. I've done forum searches, but a lot of the threads are either pre-refurbishment OR the focus has been on a family with kids).
-------
Thanks to all for taking the time to help derpy ol' me.
