Illuminations?

Hubby and I will be on an adults only trip May 2017. We want to do something special for Illuminations. Should we do a private illuminations cruise or the sparkling dessert party? This will be our first time seeing the show.

We did the Sparkling Dessert Party last year and enjoyed it ... the dessert part was moved indoors because of threatening weather but we enjoyed the viewing of the fireworks ... it was a great view ... the best we have ever enjoyed in many years! We booked another one for our trip in a couple of weeks and are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather cooperates and we can enjoy our desserts outdoors as well.

I have done the Illuminations cruise several times.. it gets better every time. You have excellent seats (on a boat, so no crowds) and there are blankets, drinks, snacks, and I've loved my driver every time. Excellent experience!

We did the party and enjoyed it very much. I was not super crowed to us, we had a great spot and the alcohol was flowing

I'm not saying that the party and the cruise maybe aren't worth it, being that I have not done either, but this last trip we stood in the red circled area of the picture. The view was amazing! The boats actually anchor not too far away, and we thought we most likely had a better view than them. Just an opinion though!

You will enjoy it, no matter what you choose to do. It is my favorite show in all of Disney.

Have done the cruise a couple times, loved it every time! The one on one time with the cast member and all the tid bits of info you get are great, on top of the view!!
