illuminations view from BC or YC

Are there any rooms that you can see the illumination fireworks from at the beach or yacht club? We have never stayed there before and are trying to figure out what rooms/area to request. We can only afford a standard view and will need connecting rooms. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks a lot!

We were at the YC last June and had a perfect view of Illuminations. Our room was on the lake side directly over the marina on the 4th floor. It was a water view room.

I don't think you can see Illuminations from any of the std. view rooms at the YC. I don't know about the BC at all, but it seems like some of the std. view rooms there face toward Epcot.

We were very lucky because we booked std. view and were upgraded to the great room we had. DH claims it was an evil marketing ploy by Disney because he would now pay for the view we had on any future visits.

There are some standard view rooms at BC that you can see the fireworks from. They are the ones directly facing Epcot and on the 3rd/4th floor. Trees are in the way, but you can see some of Illuminations.
