Illuminations Restaurant?

Are there any restaurants where you can dine while viewing Illuminations?

If you get lucky, Rose and Crown has terrace seating. About half the seating is inside the restaurant however. Sometimes they will let you wait for terrace seating, sometimes not. PSs can be hard to get for "fireworks time." And the prevaling wind is often that direction, so it isn't unusual to have fireworks soot over your entree.

Cantina San Angel (the counter service in Mexico) has tables where you can view Illuminiations from. Matsonoma Lounge (sushi bar in Japan, no PSs) has tables, inside and air conditioned, where you can see the fireworks. Both involve get a seat early.

We ate at Rose & Crown last Tuesday night and watched Illuminations - it was great! We had a 7:50 PS and were seated around 8:00. We were finishing up our entrees when Illuminations began. We were seated on the terrace, but even if you're seated inside, they allow you to come on the terrace to watch the fireworks (I asked about this when I checked in at the podium).
Thanks to info on this board, we had these reservations and they were wonderful!!!

We are going in July so what time should we try for a PS at Rose & Crown to try and view Illuminations?

Also any suggestions of good/bad food to try there?

I would recommend 7:30 if you can get the PS still. I would imagine they are already booked solid near Illuminations times for July.

I made a PS for 7:50 as that was the time available. Hopefully that will work out okay for us. Thanks for the help!

BTW - Any suggestions for what to eat there?

I would get there early, tell them you would like to eat outside. They will tell you that they can't guarantee it, but they will note it. They do try, but most people would like to be there if the weather is nice. In April we had 7:30 PS, was there at 7:20, and got seated at 8:40.

Cheese plate, leak and potato soup, fish and chips, and steak and prawns were all very good. OH mmmmmm sticky toffee pudding.
