What time should we plan on making reservations at the Rose and Crown so that we can have a better chance of watching Illuminations by the water?

No later than 7:30 and ask for patio table.That doesn't mean you will get it,ask again when you check in that evening for PS.Often they will let folks come out from dining room to view Illuminations from patio.

Unfortunately when we were there in January, they said they no longer let people out onto the balcony. What a disappointment!

we usually stand right by the expresso and cappuchino cart in World showcase...i dunno why but there is always an open area to stand and the view is great.
