Illuminations or Star Wars Dessert Party?

So I currently have reservations for both the Illuminations and Star Wars dessert parties and I don't know that much about either of them to be quite honest. I've read one review about each and I just don't know which to pick or if we should try both. I'm excited to try a new one, but I really don't know the pros and cons of each. Anyone been to both or either and have a recommendation? If they're both fantastic I'd be up for doing both, but if one is much better than the other it would be nice to save some money.

ive only done the wishes firewaorks dessert party. I liked that one becasue for all that money it had SEATS.. Illuminations has no seats and i know nothing about starwars though

We have done the star wars dessert party before it moved to the launch pad and it was great. Now that it is at the launch pad I sure it is going to be better and you now are escorted to a vip viewing area. If I had to pick one or the other I would pick the star wars fireworks party. The only draw back I can see with the star wars fireworks is that if don't know anything about star wars some of it may not make sense but the fireworks there are awesome anyways! Very good show!

I would never say cancel one but the reason we haven't done the illuminations one was because there is so much great food, beverages & desserts in epcot that we usually just make our own dessert party. Also there are so many places to view the fireworks in epcot vs HS.

The one thing to note is the dessert parties serve a lot of food so don't have a big dinner meal that day or just have a big lunch and snack before it.

Do both. We do two per trip. We bagged wishes this year due to the new seating situation as a protest (yah right).

Illumination used to be a better dp. They had fried donuts in Kahlua. Not anymore....

I can't seem to get illuminations DP for dec
