Illuminations not what it once was from my point of view

My first trip was in 1972 when I was a teenager, so I have been going for a long time. I think what is different at least in my case, is that when I first started going, fireworks weren't that common. You saw them at the 4th of July and at WDW and it was really cool. Now we see them all the time. You see them at the end of baseball games and many other places you didn't see them 30 or 40 years ago.

Also, the other parks have stepped up their game. Look at how Universal has really bloomed from when we started going during the Nickelodeon days. Dollywood is a great park and even Holiday World which is close to us has grown over the years. We have more things to judge WDW to and lets be honest, they haven't kept up with park changes like other parks have is another reason people aren't as happy as they use to be.

I agree it's the other parks that have stepped up there game. Disney just not keeping up. Look disney is disney and I agree with Mr Pete Werner they seem to be in that bubble "we are the king and no matter what we do no one can ever beat us." And for all of those who disagree that's fine that just the way I see it. Let me just say that I still LOVE DISNEY!

I think people on these types of boards put too much thought into the tone and underlying meaning instead of focusing on the actual words used (Brell Rants anyone?). I always picture the words in like oompalopa voices from little tweedledee and tweedledumbs Because I have to agree with my husband in this. Really none of you are real people. You could be my imagination or one guy on a computer in his mothers basement perpetuating an elaborate hoax. Think of that next time you assign tone to message board posts.

Has Disney failed to give you that which you purchased? You have a ticket that grants you admission to the park. They don't say every cast member will treat you like a rock star and every attraction will be open when you are there.

That would be like me ranting at the Guggenheim because "Starry Night" was being maintained and not on display when I went. I wonder if there is a message board for the Guggenheim?

If you want to be wowed by it again, see Illuminations on the 4th of July. It is a huge wow!

You are probably right.Tthat being said I would love to see an update the show is going on 17 years.

I would be sad for any change that replaced the ending tag. We go on gives me chills every single time. And I have the CD and play the tar out of it!
