Hi anyone got a room recomendation for a studio that I might be able to catch a glimpse of Illuminations? I never get my room requests but If I don't try I won't know. Also can you go up the walk way towards EPCOT and see them?

You could request an "Epcot view", but it's likely that you still wouldn't be able to see to much from your balcony due to the trees and distance.

You can see quite a bit from the bridge that connects to the Boardwalk.

There is no Epcot view to request. You could try a woods view, but there are woods views that have a view of the higher fireworks at Illuminations and some that just hear all the noise and don't see anything.

If you decide to stay at BCV, it's easy to walk over to Epcot about 8:55PM and find a spot to watch Illuminations. Then walk back to the BCV afterwards and only be gone a half hour. But you need park admission to do this (a hopper pass, AP or PAP).

Request a 5th floor villa facing Epcot and you will see a surprising amount of Illuminations! Our view was over the Land and on to Canada and UK. We could see the giant torches from several more countries.

We enjoyed it almost every night of our trip, it was amazing and magical. Spaceship Earth was our nightlight every night, it stays illuminated every night all night long. (Well, on the Saturday night, it was dark, but the other 6 nights it was on.)

Illuminations from our balcony was one of the most magical moments of that trip. Good luck and let us know if it works for ya!

You can also watch Illuminations from the bridge between BCV and BWI, or walk down to just outside the International Gateway entrance to hear the music. In my opinion, Illuminations really needs the music to be worth watching, and there are very very few BCV rooms with a Illuminations view at all.

The 5th floor advice is a keeper!!!!

Not all those fifth floor villas with a woods view have a view of Illuminations. We were on the fifth floor in May and June and we could hear them, but not see them.

The same was true with my 5th floor room. I could see just a glimpse of Illuminations if I craned my neck to the left. The very best Illuminations view I ever had was from a 4th floor room, 422. Take a sharp left when you come off the elevators and the room is on the left. You'll probably get a pretty good view of Illuminations from the woods view rooms in that corridor or in the main corridor. However, you can't really see much from the rooms in the "jog", about half way down the main corridor that goes off to the right.

Yeah, I think the way I worded my request was for a 5th floor view of Illuminations, not just Epcot. Good point. There are trees, it wasn't like a skybox view of it all. But we could see a LOT and without leaning or straining. We considered it wonderful.

Good luck!

We were in 324, but it was a 2BR-a studio close to it would also have a pretty good view of Illuminations, especially for only 3rd floor IMO.

jade1, I LOVE your picture of the Eiffel tower. That's my favorite thing to view from BCV, much more so than the SE view many people like. How did you get that picture of it lit up at night? It's beautiful!

Thanks, it stayed lit pretty late if I remember right-plus it was NY Eve so it got dark early and stayed open late.

Try to get one of these studios 320, 327,359, 363, 420, 427, 459, 463, 527, 559, 563 are the best bets
