Illuminations FP area

I haven't seen much about people getting fast passes for Illuminations viewing. Has anyone done it? Is it worth it? Where is the area? Thanks!

The area is right between the twin gift shops at the entrance to WS from FW. It might save you some time staking out a good viewing location else where early, but in my opinion there are many good places to view illuminations and the reserved section is not any better or worse than other areas. It would put you at the front of the mob exiting through the main gate after watching illuminations if you plan on leaving right after the show. So to save a little time, maybe, to get a better view, probably not.

From my experience since FP+ was introduce, as long as the crowds are super big it's not too difficult to get a good spot for Illuminations if you're willing to wait a bit. We waited about 20 minutes and got a spot just behind the rope for the fastpass area so unless its worth it for you personally it doesn't add much.

Don't forget it will mean you won't be able to pick up a 4th FP as you won't use it until Illuminations- how much value that 4th FP adds is depends on your plan
