**Illuminations ending Sept 30th**

I'm so sad to see illumination is coming to an end because it is the last show that has decent firework display.
I know that some people like the projections & lasers but I much prefer the old Disney where was a grand fireworks show every night.

Debuting October 1, 2019, “Epcot Forever” will be an all-new, limited-time spectacle of fireworks, music, lighting, lasers and choreographed, special effects kites. The show will take us on a journey through the past, present and future of Epcot. Featuring a stirring collection of songs that paint a colorful picture of the park, this nighttime extravaganza will offer both a trip down memory lane and a look towards the future and all the magical possibilities still to come.

Does anyone know why they are having an interim show instead of going straight from IllumiNations to the new show?

EDIT: I'm guessing because part of the lagoon is being built to accommodate the new show, which they'll need to cease operations of the Illuminations show to complete. The Epcot Forever show was probably easy to put together and doesn't need to utilize the lagoon like Illuminations does.

I sure got lucky (or pixie dust.) I booked the Illuminations dinner package at Rose and Crown months ago for 9/30 since it is my wife's birthday.
