Illuminations Dining Question

What time should we plan on making reservations at the Rose and Crown so that we can have a better chance of watching Illuminations by the water?

We were there last week and had 7:10 reservations at Rose and Crown. We were able to watch Illuminations from our table on the patio. I thought the time might be too early, but we had to wait to be seated and then it took awhile to get served. We were done around 8:30, but our server told us not to leave...that we had the table for Illuminations if we wanted. We ordered dessert and had a great view....so fun!
