I am hoping to book a cruise for October, since there is only 4 of us I am hoping to find someone to share with us or for us to share with if I have no luck. How do people generally split the cost? Would it be half and half per family or would they want so much per person (there are 4 of us). Either way it still be cheaper than paying for it on our own but I was just curious.

If you split with another party that only had 4/5 people I'd say 50/50....If it was with somebody that had 7/8 people I'd suggest doing it by person....

I had 4 in my party and opened it up to other DISers on the Illuminations cruise thread. Ended up having 3 other couples join us and we had a blast!! I asked for $30/couple or $15/person and that included the cruise, tax and tip for the captain (we love you Capt. Ron!!). Also had birthday cake and drinks!!! :teeth:

I divided it up evenly per person including the cost of the boat and a tip for the Captain.

me and my fiance are going to do this for our honeymoon and was wondering how much for tip?

Thanks for the replies. Everyone pitching in on the tip is a really great idea too, never thought of it! But it's probably the fairest way to do it.
