Has anyone done this with the midnight fireworks on New Years Eve? Is it available? I am sure it is hard to snag if it is, but any input on your thoughts and experiences with cruise in generally or specifically on Christmas or New Year's would be greatly appreciated
I have done it twice, and arranged for my sister to do it once.
Once, we organized a cruise at Magic Kingdom for the December 30th Cruise at midnight. That is the most reasonable cost wise.
The cost for the midnight Illumination Cruise came to about $100 per person, including tip, that was about 5 years ago. The cost for the December 30th MK Cruise came to about $78 per person, also including tip. The captain stopped the boat in front of the not open yet Poly bungalows. That was a spectacular view!
In each of these cases, the cruise was filled, up to 10, by using the Theme Park Community Board here.
We called to get reservations around 4th of July....kept calling, no one seemed to know about the December 30th boat at MK. We just kept trying. We did MK around 6 years ago.
For NYE. The captain provided champagne and fancy snacks, different than ordinary, which is pop, water and bags of chips.
We are on a DREAM Cruise this NYE, otherwise, we would do one of these again this year!
