Any feedback on the illuminations cruise? I'm thinking of surprising my family (there will be 9 of us) with a pontoon boat illuminations cruise. Is is worth the $120? How long is the cruise? I'm hoping they have the option for life jackets for DS4.

Thanks!

Because you have never been on one of these crusies, I say go for it. We did one 2 years ago and then we did one last year and now we are going on one again this year. It is fun. As for the life vest there is no "option" it is a must! They do provide it for you.

We did the Illuminations cruise recently and thought it was fantastic!!

Not only did we have a great time, but our driver was outstanding! He kind of crouched down among us all during Illuminations and explained the significance of what was happening with the earth during the program. I remembered reading some of that background a long time ago, but really hadn't thought about it much. It was great to get kind of a "narration" while it was happening.

Besides, we had a great group of people and had a blast!

:D

Is the Earliest you can reserve a boat 3 months out? I am planning to propose in September and I want to make sure I get it on time.
Thanks

I was wondering about the cost. Is $120 for your whole group? How many people can you take? Do they add more people to fill the boat? Thanks.

$120 is for the boat which holds up to 12 people. You pay the same amount even if you have less people.

We have done these twice and they are great. They drive around for about 45 minutes prior to Illuminations and they let each of the kids in our group take a turn driving the boat. Then, they park under the bridge between France and UK in Epcot and you have the best view of the show you could imagine.

Worth every penny IMHO.

The cost is $120 for the group. I think the maximum allowed is 10 people? Not sure if that includes tax, but most people will want to add a tip.

:D

Disney does not add extra people to your party if you don't have a "full" boat. You pay the same amount whether it's 1 person or 10. Some people have been known to post on these boards to see if there's anyone else going at the same time who might want to share the boat. ;)

Greekboy, if you're planning t propose, you should look into the Breathless. It's just meant for two, and would make a great memory!!

Did the Illuminations cruise in dec - life vest were provided for the kids - cost $120.00 plus we tipped our driver $30.00 - the boat I believe holds 10 adults or 12 persons providing some are children As for worth the cost YES!!!! - we loved it - we also did a MK cruise last summer and although not as upclose and personal to the MK fireworks we really enjoyed this too!:D
