Illuminations Cruise and MK E-night

I have an Illuminations Cruise booked for July 7 and after the cruise, we were planning on strolling the Boardwalk (since the cruise is from the YC) before going back to AKL. But now I see there's an MK E-night on the 7th. Would it be worth it to get off the cruise at the YC and head over to MK for E-night? How long does the Illum. cruise last?

I thought I had my itinerary set in stone, but there are so many options!

Illuminations cruises usually last about an hour. the pick you up between 8:15 and 8:30 and bring you back after Illuminations is over. You are going to LOVE this cruise. If you want a wonderful Captain....cal the reservation line and ask that Jeff be your Captain. He is wonderfully entertaining and GREAT with kids if you have any going on your cruise. He is full of trivia, jokes stories and just an all around great guy.

FYI, Captain Jeff pilots the BoardWalk Pontoon. There are 5 boats dispatched from the Bayside Marina (Breathless, one Platinum Plan Pontoon, and 3 Pontoons) and the 1 pontoon from the BoardWalk. Usually WDW-PLAY will not accept driver requests, but you could call Bayside Marina and make the request after you have your confirmation number.

I am aware that jeff is the Capt of the Baordwalk boat and I have never had a problem with calling to request him and having him pick up our party from the Y/B club. I am surprised and a little disappointed to hear that they are no longer taking Capt. requests. I love having Jeff as my Captain!

well illuminations is at 9 i think.....and lasts how long?....15 minutes?..
so when do they have you back at the YC? by 10?...
what time is enight at the MK?....
in july it probably starts at 10 and last for 3 hours until 1 in the morning...

i suppose you might get 2 hours out of it, but it will be a run...
the point of being on a boat is to relax...not to feel pressured...

I never said you couldn't make a request, most times CRO is reluctant to take such a request since they do not know that person's schedule. And Jeff just can't possibly work 7 nights a week.............
All I am saying is that once you have your PS for the cruise, call Bayside Marina (no more than a week or two before your scheduled cruise) and make your request then.

Okay, a vote for Capt Mike. He was terrific last summer. We left from Y/BC. Great info, great stories, just all around terrific time. Wish we could have gotten one for this August!!!
