Illuminations - Christmas Holiday Tag

Does anyone know the date the Christmas tag to Illuminations starts and ends? Trying to plan ahead, and figure this years days will be a good indication for 2011. Thanks!!

Bumping. I'm curious about this too, as we'll be making our first Christmastime visit to the World next month. Anyone?

At the end of the Illuminations show, just when you think it is all over, there is more! The bit at the added on to the end is called "the tag".

Walter Cronkite narrates a holiday message, a chorus sings "Let There Be Peace on Earth" and a gajillion fireworks go off. It is about five minutes long.

It is the only way I have ever seen Illuminations. Except for the Epcot 25th anniversary Illuminations I have on my iPod. That tag was absolutely amazing, even if I have only seen it on my little two inch screen.

The Illuminations tag should start the Friday after Thanksgiving like it does every year which is November 26th. and I think it ends January 1st or 2nd. It could end as late as the 5th or the 6th. That I'm unclear about.

I totally agree! That is why I am trying to find the start date. If we leave the Friday after Thanksgiving I fear we will be too early to see it!

World Showcase closes at 9:30 (instead of 9:00) beginning the day after Thanksgiving to accommodate the Candlelight Processional. Holiday Illuminations also starts that day at 9:30.

Technically - you get an extra 30 minutes, plus the slightly longer Illuminations.

Eh, yeah. Guess I can't tell time!

It seems a shame that once Illuninations is over, the only think to do is wander slowly toward the exit. (except on EMH nights, of course!)
