Hello. My wife and I made reservations after 7 on a Saturday night, what do we need to do to get a seat outdoors for the best view?

Get there early for your reservation (30 min?) and just ask them. We did the same thing on Thanksgiving week 2015 and they were very accommodating and friendly about it with us. It was great.

I'm also curios about this. We have 6:30 dinner reservations. Do you still recommend arriving 30 minutes early for that time? That is also assuming I can get my 14yo DS to sit at a table for that long! :confused3

What time is Illuminations on the night you have reservations? If the show is at 9, a 6:30 ressie is too early, IMO. Our reservation time in May was 7:25 and I worried it was too early, but we had to wait about 20 minutes past our ressie time before a table was ready. We got a patio seat and it was amazing. Never hurts to ask!

While there is no guarantee of a patio seat, you can ask. If you can't get one and eat inside, there is a private viewing deck for restaurant guests.

Cross your fingers and ask nicely! Everyone wants the illuminations view. We were seated inside on our last visit. However, as a PP stated you can go outside to view the show.

I was thinking the same thing:teacher: They will occupy a table for 3 hours if it starts at 9

I looked back and saw our reservation that year was at 7:15, so like mckennarose said, 6:30 might be too early for this scenario. I think anything between 7pm and 7:45pm would be safe.

Unlike some of the other fireworks shows, there are many, many great places from which to see Illuminations. Basically, any spot where your view is not blocked by a tree or a structure is as good as any other. So, there really isn't any need to focus on getting an outdoor table at Rose & Crown. If you do, great. If not, just enjoy your meal and afterwards head out to WS to find an open spot from which to watch the show (unless you are at Epcot during a super busy time of the year, spots right against the rail can be found as little as 15 minutes or less prior to the show).

We were there this past August and just asked for outside seating. I told them I would be fine with waiting for a table outside if need be. They were very accommodating and we just had to wait about 10 minutes or past the time of our reservation. We had a great view and a great meal. This was one of our favorite memories from the trip.

If you do not get a table with a view and your meal is during illuminations is it acceptable to step out somewhere to watch. As many times as we have been to ecpot we have never been eating during the fireworks and believe it or not we have never ben to Rose & Crown. No clue what the set up is.

I had three 7pm reservations always hoping for a table outside. It has never happened. Everyone wants the same. I stopped trying and now go where the food is better, then get a FP for the viewing area.
