Illumination Dinner & Dessert Reception

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone had any experienes and pictures from their magical gathering Illumination Dinner and Dessert Reception. We recently added an 8 person to our all girl trip and are now officially a magical gathering and qualify for the illumination dessert reception..any thoughts, mini reviews, pictures??? We are debating between that and the magical wishes firework cruise.

any information would be awesome thanks so much!

I can try and find some.. I didn't take that many..
A little info about it... there are a bunch of large tables set up.. think of a wedding.. There are 2 tiers... we were on the upper tier. Food was very good...The was a show going on with Aunt Roz.. she was acknowledging different events that people were celebrating that night.

Towards the end a few characters came out and dances with the kids on the dance floor.... there was also a photopass photographer in front of a fireworks background taking pics with minnie and goofy and doing autographs.

Afterwards you walk over to a private section for illuminations. They had a great layout of desserts and sodas but to be honest we were full and didnt taste much of it. Because of the little ones we wanted to get a spot right at the fence so we stayed there and didn't go to the dessert section. Onces everyone make their way over it got packed in there.

They also have a pin at each place seting.. this was your "ticket" into the illuminations area.

It would be awesome to see the pictures!!!

It sounds like something fun and different! Im not expecting that much so maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.

Where is the special viewing section located????

We did this one year. The viewing area is behind the big stores at the entrance to the world showcase. It was great.

The food was "international" if I remember correctly. Lots of different stations.
The entertainment not so great. I would do it again just to have the space
saved for Illuminations.

We had a Illumination dessert party before our wedding last year - which is probably similar or the same thing you're referring to. We were in front of the Morroco pavilion. The desserts and drinks were great! I think we picked an international variety with the addition of chocolate covered strawberries. Seriously, I still dream about how good those desserts are. If you have the opportunity, I say go for it. It's nice to have your own area for the show and just make sure people know there's going to be plenty of goodies, so don't fill up. We had a photographer at ours, but I only have the pics at home - I'll post a few later this afternoon.

Hey I was curious what days of the week they have the Illumination Dessert Reception? It is available every night or only certain nights of the week?

Can you book it before 180 days? or can you only book it at the 180 day mark???
