Illumination Cruise Questions

Can you go on the Illuminations Cruise with only 2 people or do they fill the boat? I'd love to share with others, but I thought for our honeymoon a private cruise would be nice.

Also, does anyone know where VIP viewing would be for Illuminations and Fantasy in the Sky (I'm not even sure what that is). We are going on the Gold Plan and it includes these.

you rent the boat......don't think it matters how few are on the boat.....price is the same.. max is 9 adults or 10 total (includ children) from site http://www.wdwig.com/illum.htm
When you rent either boat, it belongs to your party for the show; meaning the only people there will be the ones you've invited! The pontoon costs $120+tax. (Not covered under any of WDW package plans). Again, cost includes a driver. Optional food and beverage items are available through Yacht Club Private Dining at 407-934-3160 OR Bring Your Own!

I think VIP area for Illuminations would be either be by the bridge at Int'l Gateway (same area as the cruises) or over by Italy. Not sure about Wishes (Fantasy in the Sky is now gone, replaced by Wishes, the fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom). And like Mousefan said, you have the boat, and can do just the two of you if you wish. Enjoy.

try to reserve the Breathless, it is a replica of a 30's speedboat. It is beautiful, will be a little more expensive, but then again how many honeymoos do you get?

We were lucky to get an Illuminations Cruise last Christmas. Follow the instructions found on this site carefully and begin your calls early.

We didn't have a full boat and really enjoyed the family we shared the ride with, also found via the DISboards (within hours of posting).

The views and comfort are unbeatable, but if there is a change of cool weather, BRING JACKETS, as it can get very cool on the water (especially while moving).

What a wonderful treat for a honeymoon, anniversary of birthday (it was our daughter's 21st!).
