You mean the "There is no God." "Where was your God?" when people were reaching out for support during 9/11 wasn't thinking about stirring up something? Sure seemed it to me.

I think lots of people like to stir things up, election year or not ... that's my point. Different day, same old stuff.

People do like to stir up the pot unnecessarily, Maggie. On that, we agree.

I think with the Where is your God reference was more of a cry for how could that happen, what was the reasoning for 9-11, etc. We as Christians believe things happen for a reason, and I think his asking that question was requesting someone to tell why so many innocents had to die. To point out how sad it was that so many are gone. I can only guess what that was all about, just like anyone else can though.

Shannon -- my point is not about "him" at all. I didn't finish reading what you wrote about him because it doesn't matter to me. Notice I said that what he said doesn't matter to me, not that YOU or anything you say, or anything someone else says, doesn't, it's just that HE as a person or his WHY he said something is not my point. The fact that he (or anyone else), likes to stir things up, is. I picked him and his posts on 9/12 because they were a while ago, and Keli was talking about being a long time member, and they stand out in my mind, not because of him or who he was or is. Honest to God. (Someone might get stirred up because I just said that! )

Again ... my point is, election year or not, politics or not, everything is sunny and bright or not, things will get stirred up. It doesn't have to be a political year. Things get stirred up about bubbles, or fluff, or Bush or Clinton, take your shoes off, leave them on, 5 in a room, corn, everything and anything. It's the nature of the board. One person may stir up something more than another, that's in the eye of the beholder, I'm just saying, different day, same old posts.

The short of it is, I was trying to say to Keli, don't worry, this too will pass. (But then something else will come along. )

But ... I'm about to start a new thread, and that should REALLY stir things up! Bwhahahaha. And it's not meant to, it's something I've been thinking about since I "came back".

I just re-read my post. When I said he doesn't matter to me as a person, I don't me he doesn't matter. I mean his opinions or values, who he is/was as a person, doesn't matter in this, mine and yours, conversation. I don't mean I don't care about him, I mean I'm not talking about him. This board was actually helpful to me during the anthrax episodes. Remember how awful that stuff was? I almost hate to bring it up, knock on wood. I kept imagining that anthrax was on it's way to my area next, and the posters on here kept us updated on the latest news reports!

Well I don't know if that would stir up anything here on the CB, other than a bunch of rumors , LOL! , but it sure would stir up my home life quite a bit. I'm not so sure Willy would like me draining the ol' bank account to take you to WDW if I wouldn't do it for him.
