We are Wii impaired.

I didn't see it, but I'll look for it. I bet it's fun.

A 21 pound turkey!!! Wowser!! But I'm down to maybe only one or two more sandwiches from ours, and then I'll be sad. I could eat one every day.

That's the part I don't like about eating dinner at someone else's house - no leftovers! My favorite tradition was Friday morning leftovers for breakfast of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a slice of pumpkin pie!

Thanks to the November grocery store specials, John smoked 2 - 12 lb turkeys last Monday and we have 2 more in the freezer waiting to be thawed and smoked. Stock is made and frozen - we're all set for wintertime soups & gumbo! Plus, we'll have plenty of turkey meat in the freezer for awhile.

Did anyone check out that community board thread last week about the 40+ lb turkey?

I think we're the only two that have room outdoors to do that. Most everyone else lives in a real neighborhood where it isn't as easy to do.
Around here, they do it over open flame.


Megan called this morning, and I had to walk her through using her 4 wheel drive for the first time. She couldn't make it up their hill. Jordan left just in time to miss the snow!

I actually had to Google as I had only seen an ad, and the actual game is not what I thought it would be. I thought it was a self annimation program, you know - you too can learn to draw Mickey, but I do see it is a game.

We did not have any turkey this Thanksgiving.

On Thanksgiving we were at Gaylord Palms and opted not to join in their buffet dinner. Wise choice. They had tables all over the place. Hugh lines. Not my style of Thanksgiving dinner.

We ate at the Hickory Oak Grill and had a nice quiet steak dinner. Very nice.

I'll be getting a turkey next week to cook up for the left over. We done one every once in a while. it's a quick and easy meal.

He didn't have his swim suit in MI I keep it in FLA - as that is the only time he needs it. He likes this weather as there is NO Waiting at the water parks!! lol

Greetings from Disneyland! Enjoying our Christmas gift to each other. We're staying at the Villas of the Grand Californian and really enjoying our time here. Some of our highlights:

Dinner at Ariel's Grotto in California Adventure and getting into the dining package viewing area for World of Color (which is an amazing show by the way).

Lunch at Club 33!

Holiday tour at Disneyland which includes priority entry to Haunted Mansion and Small World to see the holiday overlays as well as seats for the holiday parade right across from Small World.

Dinner last night at Napa Rose.

We didn't even try to see Candlelight Processional as we have heard it gets packed. This is one area that I think WDW does it better than Disneyland.

A few more days and then we head back to snowy Chicagoland.

We are back from another college visit. This one WVU. COLD......at least it was was to us.

We had a great time with Virgil, Francis, and the girls. I even enjoyed the Apple Pie Moonshine.

Thankfully Virgil brought extra blankets which made the football game bearable.
