Good Morning Everyone!

Busy last week of school before break - band rehearsal, concerts, and field trips.

The weather has been incredibly foggy for the past 4 days. Sunday, RCCL's Voyager made late it into Galveston from spending the summer in Europe. Unfortunately, the Voyager is still stuck at the dock due to fog, it was supposed to sail Sunday afternoon. The Carnival ship made it out yesterday afternoon, a day late, very very slowly- but, it doesn't have to utilize the turning basin to get pointed in the right direction. RCCL passengers could receive a voucher for another cruise if they disembarked by 11:00pm last night.

Do you ever watch the show "Lie To Me"? Every now and then throughout the show, they have a quick picture (so quick it's almost subliminal) of some famous liar. Good stuff.

SpongeBob gets on my very last nerve... but that's hysterical... and so true!

I LOVE "Lie to Me"... definitely the best new show this year! (Well... that and "Modern Family"... but there's no comparing the two.)

We like "Lie to Me" also! We also picked up NCIS: Los Angeles. Plus, now that "the Closer" has returned, there's something else on our DVR other than Christmas specials...

I taped just about every classic Christmas special and movie airing this season. Missed "A Christmas Story" yet again, I am probably the only person left who has not seen it. Won't watch "Elf"- lasted about 30 minutes - I can't stand Will Ferrell. I've tried to like his movies, but I just can't. I think we have about 12-15 different versions of "A Christmas Carol" including "Flintstones Christmas Carol" and "The Muppets Christmas Carol"

My movie preferences are rubbing off on my children. The 7th grade classes went to see Disney's Christmas Carol yesterday. Maggie came home and said while the 3D was good, she prefers the black and white version that is my favorite, must see version! (1948 version with Reginald Owens...)

LOVE LOVE LOVE The Closer. Had to laugh when I saw "Fritzie" on the show with Sally Field, as her boyfriend. Something Jordan was watching........

Our evening schedule is insane this week - we haven't watched any of the shows yet. Fritz annoys me - I don't like how his character is written. He could be written off the show and I wouldn't miss him.

Elf is the ONLY Will Farrell movie that I like...

And in terms of A Christmas Carol, the George C. Scott version gets my vote...

My DVR is 100% full of college football games for Ray's business... so we can't record anything til he can stay home long enough to transfer the edited footage to DVD. He leaves again on the 28th or so to do the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on Jan 1, and the BCS Championship game in Pasadena on the 7th.

That's why you need a DVR. Don't know what I did without mine. It seems like everytime I want to watch one thing there is something else I want to watch on at the same time. I can usually then watch it in a day or two so mine is 90% free.
