Il Mulino

How is the atmosphere, food, & overall experience? I've made reservations for the Boardwalk night of my trip and can't wait!

Il Mulino was easily one of my favorite meals last October. I am not a fan of the Swophin decor, but with that said, our evening there was lovely. We started out in the patio for cocktails, and then moved to the bar. The bartender ws friendly and she made us th signature drink, (I cannot remember wha teh heck that was but us was good!), and from there we moved to the dining room for one of the best meals of the week. My veal milanese was outstanding! The service was impeccable, the food and wine pairings spot on. I believe Il Mulino is woth that little walk.

NOTE: This is one of five sit-down eateries we patronize at WDW. The service is always
exquisite and the food very good to excellent. I want to feel important at fine dining,
and Il Mulino does this, so the price-to-food/service ratio is an excellent value. We had
two servers. They even kept our glasses full and our needs always met. It's good to be
pampered. We enjoy the Insaccati Misti appy, the Saltimbocca, the Dentice (Snapper),
and the Vitello Parmigiana entrees.

I add my recommendation, as well. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, and solid service. It's worth noting that their portions can be a bit large; however, they offer half portions which better fits with our eating habits.

Good to know! I generally don't have a massive appetite (especially for heavy food), even less so when I'm as busy as I am in Disney. Although, it is nice to know you have delicious leftovers in your room fridge on a day you're not in the parks. Hmm...decisions decisions (tasty decisions)

OK - some background....

Sandy and I go to WDW twice per year, every year, 10 days a stretch. We are TIW holders, and DVC owners. There is not one night, in over 10 years, that we have NOT gone to a SIG for dinner. We go to V&A at least once per year.

IlMulino is an absolute hidden GEM. We go there on EVERY trip. In our opinion? It's a GREAT HONEST SIG, with probably the best Italian food on property. Did I mention I'm 2nd Gen Sicilian? PLEASE - think about going there... they DO take TIW, but I believe they have wisely avoided DDP. This is a VERY GOOD Restaurant.

It's one of our favourites. It's just DH and I and when we go there, we can take 2 hours to eat dinner without feeling like we're being rushed through. We like to take our dinners slow; we're there to spend time with each other as much as to enjoy WDW and we love to eat and thoroughly savour our food, not just take it in for nourishment.

One of my favourites is the beef carpaccio and the tomato/mozzarella salad. After that, I can only manage a half order of some pasta so I like that they offer that.

Last time, we were there a little later at night and they put us at a table in a side room with no one else seated there. Very romantic. We took our time, had multiple courses, shared a bottle of wine and then walked back to our room (BC) hand-in-hand.

It's the best Italian food choice on property. No question. We dine there every trip. On our next trip, we are booked there twice in a one week stay. Best tiramisu we have found anywhere. Exceptional service. Great food. Have to agree with the previous posters.
