We are considering going to Il Mulino this trip. I am wondering for those who have gone if it is styled on, and as good as, Il Mulino in the Village in NYC? What did you order? Pics?
Never been to the one in NYC, but it is a very fine restaurant. A friend and I decided it was the best meal we had during a trip we took in Oct 09 (where we also dined at Cal Grill, bluezoo and Sanaa).
It's a nice restaurant!! I can vouch for the chicken parm and the veal parm as well. Nice wine list also. Very adult restaurant. The TIW thing is yet an added bonus.
Wow! They now take TiW? Great! I've been away from the boards for a while. We've been wanting to try Il Mulino after reading all of the positive comments form posters, but we've had a TiW card.
Just for the record, the Swan's Il Mulino is owned by the same folks who run Il Mulino in New York. The quality of the food is on a par. You will have a great time. Here are our entrees from our last visit:
Veal Picatta (not on menu, special order):
Half order of rigatoni with mushrooms:
Side order of escarole with olives and garlic:
Il Mulino is first on our list for our October trip to the IF&WF. Enjoy!
According to the servers the decor is very different than the one in New York...but other than that...we haven't been to NY one...but IL Mulino at Swan is very very good.
