I don't hear about this restaurant too much. Is it good? I just made a ressie for it for the end of Jan. I picked it because we love Italian food, and my MIL and her girlfriend will be joining us and we though it would be a nice place to take them. Now I am wondering if I made the right choice! Any reviews, pictures? The search feature isn't working for me, again!
TIA!:goodvibes

IMHO, it was not worth the money.

Food & service were both good just not great, KWIM?

Thanks! If you don't mind sharing, what did you all order?
Anyone else have any opinions?

Been there twice and I had Veal parm and Veal Saltimbocca Both quite good. The portion of the saltimbocca was a bit small, but the Parm was huge.
IL MUlino is probably the best Italian spot on property and has the advantage of being relatively kid free.

IL Mulino is fantastic. Hubby and I have been many times (alone and with friends and family). Food and service have always been fantastic.

Everyone we have taken there also loves it.

We have tried many things. I love the home made pasta dishes.
Hubby usually goes for one of the meat dishes. They also have specials which have been quite good.

Great wine list. Staff also very knowledgeable about the wines.

Another vote for Il Mulino. Have only been once, but it was a wonderful experience and we are going back during our trip next month.

I'm with you, We love most Disney restaurants, but this was "just fair" I had a risoto, which was again "fair" one of our party did have a veal parm, which she liked and was as big as a hub cap, but over all just fair and very pricey.

I love love love love love Il Mulino! I've been twice and fully intend to go back.

Here are a couple of photos.

I got this pasta the first time at Il Mulinos it was a mushroom pasta and simply heavenly!

The service has been top notch and it's just a classy looking place.

The problem with Il Mulino is that it's not really a "Disney" restaurant. It has no Disney feel to it, just a fine dining place. There is nothing wrong with fine dining but if you're close to a big city, I'm sure there are places there that serve food as good or better than Il Mulino.

I was torn between this place and going back to Tutto...so I did a poll and Tutto one. We have been to TI twice and it was awesome both times

Thank you all for responding!

That chicken parm is huge! That is usually what I order and I think I will have to share that with my DD.

We will also be going to Tutto Italia the first night we get there. We love it. I am just happy to hear that Il Mulino is good. I like to have another Italian option, so I hope we like it!

LOVE this place. We had a great meal there and the service was great as well.

The atmosphere is upscale. We were dressed casually, but in slacks and nice shirts. Hard to know you are even on property! There were no kids there when we were, which makes it seem quiet and classy. It was expensive. We had the antipast platter which was just OK. Meats were fine, limited cheeses. My dinner was a fabulous risotto dish. I think I would go again, but I'm not in a hurry to schedule it. It was filling for sure!

Il Mulino is a famous restaurant in New York's Greenwich Village, and it's a wonderful and authentic restaurant.
The Swan restaurant is called Il Mulino Trattoria and is meant to take advantage of the New York restaurant's reputation. That's always a bad starting point. Unfortunately, this Il Mulino is only so-so. The food is largely undistiguished, and the service was spotty on my visits. There are better restaurants.

The Il Mulino here in Orlando is owned by the same group that own the one in NY They also have restaurants in Vegas, Miami, Atlanta, Aspen and Tokyo as well as a few other cities so they aren't taking advantage of a name.

Is the food in the Il Mulino in NY similar to the one in Orlando? I can easily visit the NY one and try it out before our trip, as long as ressies aren't hard to get.;)

Il Mulino is one of our favorite restaurants.

It is one of the least Disney restaurants on property and doesn't take the DDE card so you won't hear as much of it as other places.

However, it has some of the best Italian food anywhere. My DD at the time 7 ordered the kids Fettuccini Alfredo and it was fresh pasta and from scratch Alfredo sauce. It was one of the best I've ever tasted anywhere.
